I'm sure trump will find an even more ghoulish appointment, but at least this smug asshole will be gone

The Democratic turnout dropped so much that I have to wonder if Republicans simply got extremely good at voter suppression. I guess all they had to do was make vote by mail difficult to get the result?

First year is usually particularly "productive" for any presidency, the Trump presidency was likely held back to an extent due to its inability to staff up with people who align with Trump. Right wing think tanks have actually spent a lot of time making sure this doesn't happen again, which is worrying.

Elon and Trump alliance won't last though, both of them seem terrible to be around lol

Awful, sorry you two are experiencing this.

Yeah, while I really am not a fan of my current job, I'm mainly planning on moving only to other places with defined hours, pension, and a union. Even nice managers will try to overstep personal boundaries, so the difference in environment between non-union and union is huge.

I love sending out reading material then 2 weeks later and 5 mins before the meeting getting a bunch of access requests in my email.

Pencil pushing jobs are soul draining. I'm in one right now and the "problem" is it has a pension plan, so any move I make needs to pay a lot more or it's a significant downgrade. And as you said it makes it cushy, I love clocking out and knowing I won't hear from my boss until I clock in. Unlike my old job where (rarely, but it still happened) I'd get calls in the evening on my personal phone asking something be fixed for the next morning.

I hope this election doesn't give us more memes of screaming/crying teenagers. It was always so dumb, like oh a young person showed emotion? wow how soy how cringe. Who gives a fuck

Kamala would've won if Tim Walz went on Aimee Terese's podcast.
