I'd love to see how they spin that to blame it on the Dems.

My concern is that Trump is defeated in the election, declared is stolen, and we do react within the law to fight it, but Trump is declared President by the House of Representatives and the Supreme Court anyway. Once Project 2025 starts rolling out as policy, how many of us are then willing to start reacting outside of the new law? Most Germans were not fervent supporters of the Nazi party. They just didn't want to get in trouble with the ruling government. Are you willing to risk your life to fight the fascists? Are you willing to risk the lives of your family? Or do you learn to survive with your head down and not make waves...

Not calling anyone out for anything, but I often have to wonder about how I would react now that it keeps getting closer to reality.

I always just pictured Santa Clause.

"On, Comet! Ondansetron! On, Donner and Blitzen!"

Eptifabatide. My favorite drug name and people have a hard time with that p to t transition apparently, but it rolls off the tongue for me. Abciximab is another good one, but I'm pretty sure someone just wanted a name to start with ABC.

Dr. Levi Cowan is my favorite source of storm information presented in a factual and level-headed manner. I whole-heartedly endorse Tropical Tidbits. I do not endorse Ron DeSantis.

These churches need to lose tax-exempt status now.

Unfortunately, politics is teams sports in this country. Too many people are concerned with their side winning rather than what is best for the country or even for themselves. The propaganda machine has pushed people to support a small subset of issues as the biggest issues and these are often not the issues that actually have any impact on the day-to-day lives of most Americans. Critical thinking is not part of the discourse anymore for a large percentage, just rhetoric and slogans.

“This is something that was leaked. It was not approved by me, I never saw that. It was intentionally leaked to a leftwing group to try and create a narrative.”

Taken from the standard Republican book of denial and deflection. I don't think anyone is buying your bullshit, Pudding Boy Ronnie. Fuck off with your trying to twist your attempts to sell off the state's natural areas to your development cronies and hope that no one noticed into some kind of victimhood narrative. Weak-ass weirdo.

Sick with my second bout, but my first was early 2023.

Get well soon, fellow sufferers!

Thankfully, both of the DeSantis and Mom's for Book Burning endorsed candidates in our school board elections lost significantly. I think that leaves 2 voices that are more concerned with their conservative indoctrination than actual educational instruction. Hopefully they get kicked next go round. One of the websites flaunted the candidates politics, GOP-endorsements, and overall "look how anti-woke I am, boy howdy!" and never once mentioned anything about the kids. Such losers.
