Trotskyism and Stalinism come out of the same revolution two sides of the same coin, Trot's get a lot of shit from trying to do a revolution inside the USSR while ww2 was happening. This is where the Stalinist talking points start to come out calling them fascist. You can't understand trotskism failure and Stalinist failure to produce a viable socialist alternative in the 20th century without understanding both ideology are reflections of each other and in many cases Stalin and trotski implement each others policy's while denouncing the other. both-sides But's not just a lib talking point this time.

Both sides claim to be Leninist that why I am not granting either side the holder of marxist leninist as both are Leninist, we can't know what pure Leninism is as it is clearly mixed up in the conditions of that revolution. very similar to how human nature works according to Marx.

Where is my credentials for such claims, been in both trotskist and stalinist partys since the 1980's, the year is 2023 of our lord and we are still re-ligating this same shit except hey the USSR doesn't exist anymore to fight over.

They are trying to due the time tested strategy of incorporating oposition to destroy them and then geting gas lit and we still won't have a good single payer option in the year 2040. Its happened like 4-3 times with the dems since 1890 with the SPA (socalist party america) fortifying the dems, then the most right wing party compared to the Republicans.

Mark my. Words these chumps will be democratic agents for the party in not years time as the green transition sets in motion a massive labor struggle with them siding with capital.

To an extent the poster is right that the communism that will come in the future will be one of nesscity and survival, they are wrong that the working class really benefits thats much from the imperial plunder of the machine so much as labor aristocracy really does. You can see proof of this when you look at places like the south and midwest really places outside of newyork and LA you notice not only a core and peirfery with countries but with in countries and this is key to understand why workers hate other workers indifferent sectors why you have to make diffenet appeals to these workers when you talk to them about problems in there area.

To the people screeching like monkeys calling for people to touch grass and go outside makeing claims of armchair politics. Listen I don't like the smug energy either but you already have failed as a communist you need to be able to work with people that don't think exactly like you. Really think about this when the climate leviathan comes and the usa military or what ever decides to have a faction struggle and they abandoned your area your living for what ever reason, your gonna have to work with people other workers with additudes you don't like to survive, you need to be able to present a vision that is more then a critique on what to do in that moment and that means convincing people you don't like, working with people who don't share your common goal, and showing them your right with action in the real world or evidence and argumentation in the digital as long as that keeps existing which is a big if.

Politics cant just be a self identity because that means you where never serious, your signing up for a project you will not see the completion of or likey benefits of much like soviet workers in the 1930 during break neck industrialization living on 1300 calories a day who will likely die in a world War in just a couple years. YOU HAVE TO HAVE DEEPER reasons then belief or methological individal self identity to build the strength of character nessarry to deal with the moment.

Touching grass is a cop out, defending thought leaders on YouTube is also a cop out.

Its starting to look like we are gonna get power until the whole planet is in various climate devastation, deeply think about what that means for the left right now, is defending a thought leader YouTuber on reddit a good use of your time? Is me posting this shit a good use of my time (self crit) no probley not.

The inflation is mostly supply chain problems that are unfixable in the medium to long term, im not a final crisis guy but its starting to shape up that way. The other question is who will restore profitability post crash China is running out if growth they dint have double digit growth they cant save the west like they did in 2008, India cant do it either for reasons that they never mulched their peasantry and are actively hostile to any liberalization market reforms. Even if this ended ups in a crisis the left broadly speak needs to handle the ongoing crisis with institutions that have yet to be built. That sorta means we won't get any power except as a response to disaster, a politics of nessecity and that can be really bad.

Whats a really fun stat to look out in the gap in generational wealth among poor whites and blacks is a house adjusted for inflation. So the gap in wealth is basicly a house due to red lining and other fun Jim crow era stuff. Really hasn't ended either actuarial tables don't describe race but describes poverty stricken areas which effectively recreate red lining but with crime income and various other descriptions. This matters because of how loans and city bonds get evaluated this restricts funding and perpetuates the cycle. Aint that grand.

The entire political treat econmy for America is balanced on who gets access to land so various rents dint wipe away generational wealth. Housing is a speculative asset that Essentially chains Americans to capital as mortgages (death contracts in french) become a tool to disaplin workers as access to loans to get a good rate to buy to build wealth as this helps you escape the lower end of the working class.

If you ever wonder why housing ownership is so valued among workers in America its a way to escape poverty if you can pay it off but its a double edge sword as high prices and unfavorable lending conditions can make you more compliant at work as your fear of losing your property cause constant stress on a household expenses.

I don't support any side in the context of a interimperalist war, why? Because I can read theory closely and with intention wtf-am-i-reading sorry Russia and Ukraine. In another context but not this one. Its similar Serbian independence. Sorry can't do it. Why can't I do it because only like 3 communist partys took the right stance on ww1 and I want to gloat about it later. Why do I want to gloat about it because I wanna see if people can be held accountable for not closely reading theory, and not doing analysis with any shred of intergteity.

I'll be real i don't think It could work, mostly because the Republicans of 2001 and then ones now are so far away from that moment of American post cold war triumphism that the nature of the conspiracy brained conservatives would call what ever cover story and the national security state faction wouldn't keep the lid on out of spite of the liberal faction. Trump in a lot of ways weaponized the right into a Greek tragity of the more you want to avoid a fate. You end up fulfilling it. The right wants to make America great again but ultimately have doomed it by trying to save it.

This is the kinda worse case scenario for the state department because Republicans are well funded and protected by law in ways democrats aren't. If they disband nato, and do all the structural destruction like cut back on spending/ debt default for the administrative state. The hand of the deep state be forced to act in broad day light it would kick off a series of events that would severely diminish the power of the American empire and factions with in the state department and dod respectively would start to actively push agnist each other even more then up until this point.

That being said it reminds me of an old Lincoln quote where he says the only way we can destroy America is if Americans do it to them selves.

A lot of this is speculation and we don't know how far the liberal faction of the deep state is willing to go in the face of, exiting nato, recalling military bases, debt default, massive military budget cuts as a result of a chaotic debt default situation or Trump retaliation moment we have no idea if he is serious and would go that far.

Contingency: the one issue that is out of everyone's control and is the largest external threat to everyone is if one faction or another of the American deep state desides to start up a direct war with another nuclear power in order to 911 war on terror all the problems away.

An example, trump win then exits nato and helps the Republicans default on the national debt and he gets Kennedyed. The state blames it on China and we do war in Taiwan. War on terror style. This is the worst outcome for every country because of the nuclear question when the Americans take massive losses 📉 trying to take the island.

Or we have another 4 years of trump in the news and nothing really happens.

I think we should question the idea if safe spaces are compatale with federation ultimately, look I cant speak to the trans experience, so I'm not gonna comment on it but I think acceptance and strict upholding of trans people as people is non negotiable any attacks on trans people is an attack on the whole working class. Full stop.

This all being said we need a long term stragy to deal with reactionary and liberal temperaments we need to incorporate them but not let them have any power, overall I feel we need unflinching bans and bullying on anti trans activity, I think safe spaces wont work its clear in this federated environment the savage reactionary hordes are still afoot we need to take the fight to them we need to be stronger together. I am tired of losing, im tired of retreating i am tired of being a victim. Im sorry these shits are horrible, but we need to get better together we need to otherwise we won't survive in real life and here.

Hamilton is like the most conservative faction of the founding fathers the fuckung libs need to get a grip this whole thing is coming down reguardess of what fucking founding fathers they stan and larp, the real question will be what side of military internal civil war will end out on top.

[–] Lucero@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago

Yeah it really fucking is impossible to enforce, could just state a million reasons why your driving around, I feel like this strangely violates commerce clauses with state lines, not a esquire so who knows. More deeply I think this last scream of this brand of conservativeism the dog finally caught the car and has no idea what to do.

I think federation was not a good idea as federated structures create multiple cores over time we will become periphery to another instance and then just die. I cant tell if that's happening at this point. In my mind hexbear is life capsule for the tail end of the Bernie moment, the left right now is largely discredited and that was hard for me to accept I have focused not on a turn to self like the boomer left and some milianial left have begun to do instead going on some personal journey.

Instead I'm trying to reform my local psl and dsa to build a relationship with the local community and you know actuly provide skills shareing and physical goods, and community for the working class It took me covid siting inside reading the history of the American left to understand why we failed why we keep repeating the same mistakes over and over, I refuse to play that game any longer. And I'm not gonna lie its been hard, but its also been rewarding in friendships and prespective, but somedays I want to not live, and others I feel connected like that hole in my heart is filled.

The one message I guess I want to give the people is two things.

1.We need to take serious the task of building left social reproduction a leftist should be able to go to most cities and find a party that has within groups they can date people in and make friends with at any age.

  1. Peoples social alienation is bad for them and the unique captliat milayse that everyone seems to be under is bad letting people become anti social and alienated makes the task of organizing the working class impossible. The level of atomization right now we are watching the working class decompose in real time the levels of lumpenisation are at a historic high and yes even in the third world.

If this last trend dosent reverse we won't have a political subject anymore, if that happens we won't get power until climate apocalypse renders nation states redundant.
