The actual tragedy of the commons was the enclosures and evictions that dispossessed free people and destroyed the commons as their economic base.

Thousands of missiles were launched from Gaza last week with zero reports of any of them turning around and striking Gaza.

I rode the maglev to the shanghai airport, it was awesome. The newer version in Beijing is significantly faster. But yeah super expensive to build.

Crime is down, despite the determined and successful efforts to convince us otherwise. Also some states have stepped back from the stunningly huge mandatory sentencing policies imposed during the 80s and 90s.

The US is a failed experiment in neoliberal governance. We are a state in the process of collapsing. All of our institutions are corrupt and dysfunctional. Our infrastructure is falling apart due to underinvestment.

I’m fine with poor kids getting a really shitty meal but why are we paying for rich kids to get decent meals? I think this program needs a bureaucracy that investigates and qualifies each child to make sure their circumstances are dire enough to qualify for a substandard shitty lunch. Also there should be drug testing to make sure the qualified families aren’t getting high.
