American politics is a joke but wouldn’t it be funny if Hasan’s uncle verbally undressed Joe Biden in a live debate, and then millions of people were exposed to HasanAbi because of it?

I don’t see myself not supporting Cenk Uygur’s run unless Hasan was to explicitly denounce his uncle. Like obviously his politics aren’t fucking radical but he can’t be that different from what Bernie Sanders advocated for.

If you want a reason to start supporting Cenk Uygur for president, do it for Hasan. That would literally be the closet an actual communist will ever get to the White House.

Some of you might support third party like PSL or Green but we all know third parties are jokes and have no actual chance of winning, and if I’m being honest neither does this guy, but simply making this guy a household name would be praxis.

The assumption that old people are inherently right wing and young people are inherently left wing is just wrong. Correlating age with political beliefs is a fucking pseudoscience, and so is the whole concept of generations like boomers and zoomers. Their marketing terms, the baby boom was a uniquely United States thing and to apply that term to 20 odd years of people from across the world is just factually wrong. We got to stop self identifying with these terms because they are ageist and they divide us and they allow for shitty excuses like “it’s just their generation” to excuse shitty behavior.

What’s the point of this? Stop dunking on old people. Old people aren’t inherently reactionary.

The west consumes so much more than the global south, it needs to stop if we wish not to kill ourselves through climate change, or run out of natural resources essential to run a complex society. The right wing’s answer to this problem is ecofascism. They simply wish to kill the “useless eaters” so their consumption levels don’t have to change. Obviously we shouldn’t do genocide so the best option is communism. An equitable distribution of wealth would solve the issue of malthusianism, but to do that would require us westerners and even people in the global south to a lesser extent to give up their treats.

Personally I can live without cars or animal products, I don’t use those things simply because I don’t like them. But if I could no longer buy funko pops, or craft beers at the local brick walled barcade, or yikes, even get the new Nintendo video game product, is that really a life worth living? Truth is I need my useless plastic shit to live a fulfilling life and I can’t live simply without consuming like an adult going to disneyworld alone. I’m sure everyone owning a tv, smartphone, and computer is unsustainable but we are obviously still gonna produce those things right? Luxury production has to decline significantly but we aren’t gonna completely stop it. Everyone is entitled to a certain amount of treats. But who hands out the treats? I think we should conspire to be the treatkeepers so we don’t have to give up our own treats.

The band is called human extinction or something real edgy and antinatalist. The music video won several awards and got several death threats for how provocative it was. I know for a fact this exists because I remember seeing this on early YouTube back in the day.
