I guess it's because many young adults move far away from home to get jobs in cities.
In the past young adults probably would have stayed living near their family, so they could see them easily.

Do you have a reputable source showing that Samsung phones, for example, are made with slave labour?
If they are then that would obviously be very bad, although I'm not sure it's as bad as somebody dying (like in OP's dilemma).
Brexit may have made life more difficult for many British people, but hey, at least the passports are blue now.
(In case you don't know, British passports were dark red when we were in the EU - in keeping with other EU passports - and when Britain left the EU, the government decided to make passports blue like they were in the olden days, because they thought this would appeal to boomers)
Ethernet is obviously better but running ethernet around your home can be a pain in the arse
I miss Maplin, I still use stuff I bought from there
Great post. Happy Holidays You Bastard by blink-182 is a classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KYOAw47O-I
I'm not saying you do. I don't use Twitter anymore. What I was trying to say is that I find the state of the world worrying.
I looked a Bluesky but I noticed a lot of MAGA people trolling in the comments. Maybe they can be hidden with account settings probably but I haven't looked into that.
Sure. Maybe it's worrying though that social media is splitting on ideological lines. This didn't really used to be the case. Twitter was intended for everybody, so was Facebook, etc.
Maybe the divisions in western societies are becoming sharper and more bitter. That's probably not a good thing.
Can't I get a return trip? It's going to be annoying to get a train or plane to take me home.
Someone could create an instance if they wanted right? The code is on GitHub
Maybe there's more to it though, I dunno.
I see, Samsung is mentioned in that article. Like I said, I think that is obviously bad, but it's probably not as bad as somebody dying.
