I watched The last of us, and caught with the 4th season of The Boys. Highly recommend both of them
Casual Conversation
Share a story, ask a question, or start a conversation about (almost) anything you desire. Maybe you'll make some friends in the process.
RULES (updated 01/22/25)
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling. To be concise, disrespect is defined by escalation.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible. You won't be punished for trying.
- Avoid controversial topics (politics or societal debates come to mind, though we are not saying not to talk about anything that resembles these). There's a guide in the protocol book offered as a mod model that can be used for that; it's vague until you realize it was made for things like the rule in question. At least four purple answers must apply to a "controversial" message for it to be allowed.
- Keep it clean and SFW: No illegal content or anything gross and inappropriate. A rule of thumb is if a recording of a conversation put on another platform would get someone a COPPA violation response, that exact exchange should be avoided when possible.
- No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc. The chart redirected to above applies to spam material as well, which is one of the reasons its wording is vague, as it applies to a few things. Again, a "spammy" message must be applicable to four purple answers before it's allowed.
- Respect privacy as well as truth: Don’t ask for or share any personal information or slander anyone. A rule of thumb is if something is enough info to go by that it "would be a copyright violation if the info was art" as another group put it, or that it alone can be used to narrow someone down to 150 physical humans (Dunbar's Number) or less, it's considered an excess breach of privacy. Slander is defined by intentional utilitarian misguidance at the expense (positive or negative) of a sentient entity. This often links back to or mixes with rule one, which implies, for example, that even something that is true can still amount to what slander is trying to achieve, and that will be looked down upon.

Scavengers Reign, very creative sci-fi
My wife and I have been rewatching Bob's Burgers again. Yesterday we hit the end of Season 12 and watched the movie. We missed the last 4 episodes of the current season, so we have some new stuff to look forward to when we get to the end.
Bob's Burgers is such a delight.
I'm looking forward to forcing my kids to watch it with me, someday.
I watched "All the light we cannot see" on Netflix and it was pretty good I just wish they would have used the respective languages (German, French, English) instead of having everything in English.
Wife and I are watching game of thrones for the first time. I've been spoiled on the last season but she hasn't, so far it's no wonder it was the hottest thing on TV when it was airing
What a treat! What season are you guys on? What's happening?
We just started the second season, aryia and one of the kings bastards are headed to the wall, jon snow and the night watch went beyond the wall and the guy who marries his daughters just left a baby to the creatures
Good stuff! I remember how heartbroken I was for Arya in that season 1 finale, when she was leaning against that statue and crying. I envy you the adventure and anticipation of watching the good seasons for the first time.
Darjeeling Limited - forgot how good that is
Which inspired me to rewatch Royal Tenenbaums and Life Aquatic
Good stuff!
We finally got around to watching Echo. And we're rewatching old episodes of MXC, a couple at a time, as palate cleansers.
The writing in MXC is so brilliant. I probably miss half of it because it all happens and is delivered so fast, or I'm still laughing from the last one.
We leave subtitles on nowadays to mitigate loud action/ soft dialog, and it helps with keeping up with the things my ears hear but my brain is lagging in processing.
The Tour De France in the morning, Dexter in the evening.
First time with Dexter or rewatch?
Rewatch for me, up until the new season, but it's all new for my fiance. It was rough trying to not let Rita's death slip.
Ooh, fun and sad for your fiance. I rewatched it when my husband was watching for the first time and all I remember is both of us cringing at Colin Hanks.
I finished watching the second season of Star Trek: Prodigy - I really hope we somehow get a third season!
Re watching segments of Friends. Every segment is jam!
Ghosts , the UK version.
Furiosa
Orphan Black Echoes
Attack on Titan
What did you think about Furiosa?
I’m on the last few episodes of Luoyang. I watched Axel F for background noise and enjoyed it. I started rewatching Delicious In Dungeon cause I enjoyed it so much on the first go.
I completely binged the third season of The Bear. It’s a controversial opinion apparently but I thought it was really good.
I’m halfway through it so don’t spoil but - I mean it’s good I like it but like- it’s just montages! The whole first episode was a 50 minute montage with one song on it! How do they get away with that
Binged Sopranos all week. Started last week, just finished season 5.
Waiting for the wife to return from Ireland to start watching Shoresy new season!
Natalie Portland are you ready? GOOD CUZ YOURE GOING
