Naw, they're upcharging because raw milk drinkers are intentionally trying to give themselves bird flu immunity.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

thurston

I am going to do something so authoritarian (enforce uniform food safety and standards laws and ruthlessly hunt down and prosecute people who sell tainted food)

You: dying from stomach worms from your $50 milk

Me: drinking a glass of normal milk for $2 like a human and enjoying not dying

we-are-not-the-same

me: drinking piss for free and enjoying it

[-] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 28 points 3 months ago

nuh-uh I'm going to charge you for that.

Piss and cow's milk are equally meant for human consumption and you don't have to abuse an animal bean

i want to live in a world where people aren't allowed to be deceived into contrary ideas about the basic ways the world works

throw everyone in marketing into a pit

[-] fox@hexbear.net 25 points 3 months ago

Pretty sure it's illegal to sell unpasteurized milk at all

[-] ClimateChangeAnxiety@hexbear.net 32 points 3 months ago

Depends on the state unfortunately. Here in Florida they’re allowed to sell it it just has to be labeled “not for human consumption”

love seeing milk treated the same way as research chemicals i use for my ADHD

nah that whole class is not bio-compatible with me.

depending on what i can get these have worked best; PPAP, methyl-analogs (yucky tho), phenylpiracetam, and cyclazadone (im aware of the liver issues with children in this drug class, has no impact on my function)

Fun fact cathinones are derived from the khat plant. Not really relevant but just thought I'd throw that in there.

oddly the brand in this image is from california, and doesn't explicitly say anywhere that it isn't pasteurized, though I think it's not.

this is the requirements for CA: https://www.cdfa.ca.gov/ahfss/milk_and_dairy_food_safety/pdfs/RawMilkRequirementsSummary.pdf

It should just be illegal ngl

Oh and they also sell it frozen, for supplementing your pet's food, supposedly, which may be for shipping to states with laws like you mention

[-] barrbaric@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago

Would be very funny if they were also just lying about actually being "raw milk".

[-] mayo_cider@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago

I was just about to comment about the "past" on the sticker

Honestly I prefer fudging the truth a bit for marketing if it prevents the next ebola outbreak

gulag for everyone who promotes these health fads and anyone that spreads disease for "iMmuNiTy"

[-] Crowtee_Robot@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago

Brb, gonna go get a cow and charge $50/minute to suckle the milk directly from the udder.
