We're totally denying any validity to their position with a vulgar and grotesque reply. It's about as rude as you can get, which is no less than most of them deserve.

That's how Reddit used to operate on a sub-by-sub basis. People would get banned from subs they'd never even visited, because the admins were angry at them posting in associated subs.

The petty feudal mod atmosphere trickled up to the administration over time, and eventually the admins just adopted a Mods But Sitewide approach to governance.

Admittedly, this was after numerous subs began to actively and deliberately fuck with the money.
