Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

In reality Trump raised 7 mil (last I checked) on a gofundme, his campaign raised 12 mil. He was then dragged through the dirt by people for "pocketing 97% of the funds" when in reality some dude didn't understand that gofundme takes 3%.
Never heard any of this. Source?

So, no there is only the gofundme. 7 mil is not nothing though. I hope this really reaches the people in need.
I tried to find evidence of Trump being personally involved and came up with nothing. Did he publicly talk about this effort or even donate himself?
Did you not understand? Trump is keeping the money, just like he always does. When will you people learn that a leopard can't change its spots?
I’m aware of the Trump family’s track record especially regarding charities. I’m also aware of the current grifts (crypto, merch, etc). I’m just trying to be less adversarial towards op.
