Yeah they seem pretty hard to define, currently an anomaly in the west, but hopefully they inspire others

They've suffered some from burgerbrain (same and moreso for eastern Europe+east Germany etc) but the Irish are a particularly decent lot IMO. It's the rare (or rather, only) western (west Euro, Anglo) society that seems to promote a certain sense of human decency rather than Hitlerism (both "conservative" and faux-progressive strains) and supremacism/chauvinism as its identity and culture.
