in the uk cups are defined as 250ml
In the us a cup can be ~237ml, ~276ml, or 240ml 😑
C*nadian measuring cups have both metric and Burger® so you can compare how silly the measurements are!
It's weird to have a drawer of lil measuring cups but honestly eyeballing volume and tasting is better than the way the rest of the world insisting on measuring each ingredient by gram
The scary part is that theres liquid cups and solid cups. No they arent the same, no you cant substitute one for the other. They exist in an attempt to compensate for not using weight to measure dry ingredients. Every kitchen should have a scale.
