Stuff that actually matters brings profit to some important people. Addictive drugs are a lucrative biz. If selling them hasn't got an approval from the top, they couldn't have spread as much as they had.

In EU\US it's mostly about lobbies, there it's pure feudal nepotism. Someone's been probably given a role to oversee their import\certification\reselling and collect their %s in return. Hard to imagine a legistation to hurt that scheme being even voiced.

We find that our deeply engaged users are quick to challenge and downvote harmful or misleading content across the platform.

Yeah, right.

Streaming platform\service is how I've heard them being refered for years in different languages.

Soviet Union was stockpiling weapons for the final showdown with the west through out the Cold War. Can't imagine how many of them were layed like this. Thousands, or even more than a million at that point?

I tip my fedora to someone who translated this quote in the title. 'More is yet to come' is the correct way, while that sounds like poor autotranslation. Guardian, why?

You don't mean Bethesda, right?

Deeper intergration with p2p file sharing\streaming-oriented sites and protocols, e.g. torrents, but decentralized too. Think like Blizzard with their p2p acceleration of downloads using other people's downloaded game. Basically, making your own PC a source of content for those accesing instance. May probably ease traffic reqs for instances and make them more reliable under ddos.

Infrastructure for old-fashioned game servers' communities, like those for Minecraft. Login with your fediverse account, one-click joining server, creating federated networks of them with theoretical migration of progress\playtime\achievements. It can make this way of multiplayer gaming convinient again. Yet again, it needs specifically tailored games\clients.

Mapping and geocaching communities. A network of overlaying local map-canvases that people can interact with by adding favorite routes, comments, points of interest.

Books and articles shared between repositories of different universities\libraries.

They don't have much power to down multiple places so they targeted one to show off, watch our reaction and see how vulnerabilities get fixed. It's probably one person or a thread on some chan-board taking offense at LW\Lemmy for some reason, and c/shitposting could be taken by activity\moderators count metrics rather than for having something against it alone. They did damage and locked community, but what's next? If they are indeed like old boards' posters, methodically flooding communities one after another doesn't make sense and gets old really quick if they can't do something more atrocious, achieve new goal or find another exploit. That's done already.

It seems like an obvious flaw that's pretty simple to explain. Car is learnt to operate the infromation about collisions on a set height. The opening between the wheels of a truck's trailer thus could be treated by it as a free space. It's a rare situation, but if it's confirmed and reproduceable, that, at least, raises concerns, how many other glitches would drivers learn by surprise.
