I'm going to be taking the east coast greenway in a couple of days. It stretches from the Canadian border to the dick tip of Florida. Plan on stopping here and there, NY City, DC, Philadelphia... the spot I really want to visit is Savannah, GA. Anything along the way you suggest I might check out? I love museums and libraries, I like to drink, and I like to watch sportsball live.

A tennis player said she didn't respect her opponent as a competitor, said she was too cut throat. Fun fact: The opponent was Zheng, the tennis star who western media said was disappeared by the CCP, and was very concerned about for a minute

How bad was he at the debate. When I opened the Guardian and saw the lead story about democrats calling on Joe to step aside, I knew it was bad. But I did not expect it from NY Times opinion page.

Fuck the BBC so much. They did a story about protests against this dipshits economic "policy". The presenter- not the analyst -The fucking presenter is like, "Why don't these people at least give him a chance." Idiot, if anyone knows about how austerity works, it's fucking Argentina.

Is that supposed to be an own?

[-] poppy_apocalypse@hexbear.net 58 points 4 months ago

Here is an own. Celtic FC was fined 8500 pounds, by EUFA, for Green Brigade fans flying Palestinian flags at their match vs Israel team Hapoel Be'er Sheva. Green Brigade launched an online campaign, "Match the fine for Palestine." They raised 176,000 pounds, which were donated to a couple of organizations in Gaza.

Almost two years have passed since the donation was handed over. Although the money raised has and continues to make a difference, plans have been at work in the background to cement a stronger, lasting legacy. 2019 brings the official launch of Aida Celtic, a football academy representing Aida Camp. Managed locally by the Lajee Center and supported internationally by the Green Brigade, it is hoped that Aida Celtic will benefit from similar levels of support and generosity afforded to the campaign which lay the foundations for its formation.

That's what us loony leftists call solidarity, motherfucker

“The situation in Palestine is a classic example of land that is being taken from people who lived there for generations. It chimes in with the course of Irish history.”

Now you do yours, spokesman dick head

My first long term gf was/is a proud lib. I think we were watching Saving Private Ryan and somehow the conversation got to her asking if I'd have volunteered to serve in Vietnam. I think everyone knows my answer. She goes on this diatribe about the horror of the Soviet Union and communism, the KGB, and the dominoe theory. I pointed out that Vietnam won, and that was the last time we watched a war movie together.

I hate the liberal preamble they use every time they vote shame people. "I hate the two party system, the US is corrupt..." bullshit, you love the status quo and you will sternly defend the US against any argument from the left.

The poorest kid in our neighborhood ended up craziest shoe collection I've ever seen. He didn't spend a dime. In fact he got paid.

His dad worked at a tire shop and got talking to a customer who was an exec with the Clippers (this when they played at the sports arena. Worst team in the league). Instead of paying for 4 new tires he got his kid a job as a ball boy. After every game he came home with a player's shoes, usually autographed. He also had access to free tickets, which made him very popular.
