Like Nick Kroll said, the dude is entertaining as hell. So give him a talk show, not the presidency.

History didn't have the internet to keep the masses brainwashed. We're looking at 1984 levels of control here.

They do design and build good shit, but with the prevalence of cheap options buying small kitchen appliances isn't seen as a major purchase anymore.

But, there were absolutely garbage products in the old days. The whole, "they don't build them like they used to," bit is based on survivorship bias.

If you want to pay $500+ for a coffee maker that will last decades, you can absolutely still do so.

One time I had food poisoning, and my retail job would only let you call in sick 3 days in a row. After that you had to show up regardless of a doctors note.

On the fourth day of incessant vomiting, I tried calling in, and they said tough shit.

So, I drug myself into the car, drove up there walked up to my boss, grabbed a trash can, and threw up in it. She decided to let me go home.

Yes. With dried beans most of the weight is beans. With canned beans most of the weight is water and metal.

You can ship way more dried beans for the same amount of fuel. Not to mention the energy required to make the cans and run the canning facility.

The problem is that housing prices rise due to a shortage of homes, and a big issue is that there's not enough land in populated areas to just build more housing.

Yup, I was in an AI/ML training session about a year ago, and there were a few hospital execs there too. They were absolutely giddy about the prospect of using AI to deny care to unprofitable patients.

It's a requirement to join the party.
