That said, if things improve both in terms of the quality of responses you can get from models as well as reduced costs to run them, then there is definitely huge economic potential.

lmao, yeah if it worked it'd be impressive, but it hasn't, it doesn't, and it won't ever because it fundamentally can't.

John Mulaney gets paid by prompt fondlers to tell jokes at a party. He spends 45 minutes telling them that they are idiots, which is nice.

Ya gotta imagine that TSMC execs are going to have a "hard-nosed realist" vibe compared to the average Silicon Valley tech guy.

Watching AI guys slowly come around feels similar to how people have to care for their alcoholic relatives. Folks have to come to the point where they recognize where the unacceptable bullshit lies on their own, then you can show them the cold hard facts and a path back to the real world, but getting there is absolutely exhausting and often heartbreaking.

HN seems to be particularly deranged today, doesn't it?

It mostly seems to be a mopey debate over whether Saltman's impending apotheosis is good or bad.

I use subscription services to get the best letters of the alphabet.

For example, I use WinnrWinnrChicknDinnr to get access to the letter W (upper AND lower case!) for only $69 a month!

No idea why they needed my SSN, but look I'm not some pleb that uses free letters.
