I left the instance because one of the mods was defending the decision to remove people discussing the Adjuster and said it was for God to judge.

I drew the line personally at someone using their religion to justify moderation.

Yesterday when all this came out I immediately applied to my new instance and let me tell you- seeing all the content I was missing from the places world has defederated has been a blast!

I just left lemmy.world yesterday and I was blown away by the massive amount if content coming from instances I wasn't seeing before.

I don't agree with having someone running my instance telling me I'm not allowed to see what people are posting. I can determine that for myself, thanks.

You can make it from milk and butter if I remember. You can make it from double cream (heavy whipping cream in the US).

And I would love to just buy a jar but I can't find them anywhere except online!! It's such a shame because I grew up enjoying it, and went a few years too busy to have anything with it, and then when I went to buy it... nowhere.

Eta: If someone has a solution for me in the US thst doesn't involve paying a fortune online, I am all ears! More ears than anything really.

Make an assessment.

I come from a mental health background and spoons is excellent for anyone. It needs explaining, sure, but neurodivergent people can use spoons to explain the cost of their executive dysfunction, people with depression can use spoons... hell, people free from illness can use this expression, too!

I get being bitter about jargon but it's an extremely versatile and easy-to-understand metaphor. I think the aim here should be to share it more, rather than try to label it as improper to include.

I do the same.

"Here's my thoughts. But since the consequences of your decisions are yours, make sure you want to listen to me."

I've been mad about UHT milk ever since I discovered I can't make clotted cream with the ultra high temperature stuff. I don't want unpastuerized milk but ffs, let me have some texture I can work with!

I agree. I think it's worse than we already know.
