I'm really hoping they actually follow through with theming this thing.... It's going to make or break it. They dropped the ball with Pantheon but at least it is a fun coaster but DarKoaster is just a complete failure without the full theming.
Couldn't agree more
This entire story made me laugh. In a lot of ways this is the same way that many old houses are supported with the main difference being the house takes up less square footage. Racer has been like this for years (probably it's whole life) and was just waiting for the right person to come along and make a big deal out of it.
Now wait until they learn how much coasters start leaning and flexing 😂
It should be the park that calls 911 if it's required though. Often times the PLC will refuse to open without an override which is something that maintenance is usually required to do (to keep normal ride ops from making critical mistakes).
Not sure if you are aware but Rougarou is actually Mantis just with side down cars..... but it was FAR better with the stand up trains and in it's current state it's one of the very few coasters that I'll never ride again.
I love Magnum sooooooo freaking much!
I suspect the Marvel stuff will be at Islands of Adventure for many years to come. It is a Disney IP now but Universal has an ongoing license to use it.
Super Nintendo World is a land at the new park, Epic Universe, that isn opening next year.
I've been on way too many coasters but one of my most memorable rides was when I was 8 and rode the brand new Raging Wolf Bobs at Geauga Lake with my dad in an absolutely insane downpour of rain. That ride will always live with me.
Raptor is such a great coaster but that head bang that you talk about is something that becomes an issue with all of B&M's inverted coasters with that type of restraint. They seem to get worse with age in the headbanging department. Still a coaster that I love to ride but not one that I can marathon. I think, for me, when it was new and I was in my teens that coaster always felt like it just kept getting better as the ride went on. Most coasters start running out of a steam by the end but Raptor was one of the first that used tighter turns and inversions to make it feel like it was going faster and faster even if it was slowing down.
I despise Facebook and have distanced myself from their products for well over a decade. That being said, I can't support punishment for pre-crime especially when we are the ones pushing for open communication and power of the people. To me, defederating from threads before they do anything wrong is very hypocritical and giving them ammunition against Lemmy, etc. The media isn't going to listen to us, they are going to listen to Meta when they say that they wanted to open up their borders and we slammed the door shut.
In short, defederating immediately means we are the ones breaking federation.
Here's a similar situation that still isn't fully resolved.

I replied initially with a reply from my Mastodon account.... After a day or so it never appeared so I posted again. The person I'm replying to said he sees both posts (on vlemmy) while I still only see the post I made directly to lemm.ee and not the one from my mastodon account at opencoaster.net
I've never been on a full 90 degree tilt coaster but even the slightly sloped one I've been on actually gave me more of a thrill than any holding brake on a B&M dive coaster (like Valravn). Being held at 90 degrees and then suddenly being dropped is going to be something unlike anything you've experienced on a coaster..... This will be on the level of a drop tower. One of these has existed overseas for decades and I've been dreaming of riding it.... I seriously can't wait.
