Holy shit. So much wrong in this and from a serving Police officer. Firstly he's named the law wrong (Wanton and Furious Driving, not Cycling). Goes on a rant about Charlie Alliston who wasnt actually going that fast (Police said 18mph, the video they produced for evidence was laughable!) . That cyclist was convicted because he'd removed his brakes (a moronic thing to do!) That and there is NO LAW for speed limits on bicycles in the UK. The riders in the original video have no way to know they were over 30mph. They were focused on the road surface and the traffic, as well as the steep hill they were obviously travelling down.

Are you a rider who was stopped for doing something legal? Share it below. I was stopped for "pavement riding" on a cycle path once, and another time for riding off a dropped kerb/driveway to access the road (asked the WPC how cars access the road and she threatened to get me taken down the station). Cops here are all boy racers who hate cyclists. The actively post about it online for fuck sake.

Strikes? What's the point when the Government isn't even going to sit down and talk? Seriously. What is the point of strikes when you're going to treat your colleagues like this?

So this morning got sent a video in my emails from someone I know who is NHS staff on the front line in A&E (ER to Americans). I took a screen shot with my phone as it basically just shows this. What you see here are 2 trolleys. The bags are meant to go in those trolleys. And the bags contain soiled bed sheets and ward clothing (the stuff they put on you if your own clothes are damaged or covered in blood).

She said another staff member, a nurse, walks in as she's using the disposal area, throws a bag (splitting it) on the floor and begins walking out. "Put it in the trolley!" says my friend.

"NOT MY JOB!!" nurse storms off.

Later she said she's in there, and took that video due to the floor being covered. The man comes in to collect, looks down at it with sheer disappointment, and starts having to lift the bags into the empty trolley you see behind. He tells her "this is every room now, and I service 20 rooms."

10 bags on the floor there. 20 rooms. His back is in pain. He's got a job interview. He's definitely leaving now. Would have taken the nurse half a second to put the bag in the right place. I guarantee this nurse and others like them will have been out on strike about conditions. These are people I call middle-class-strikers. Out of touch with those in the working classes, ultimately causing problems for them when they act like this. Yeah its not great being a nurse now - but don't do this to others. You'll lose their support when you do.

Cars (drivers) kill 3000x more people here in the UK and injure something like 200,000 a year compared to about a hundred with escooters and ebikes.

Yes they're illegal. But legalising them would be a step towards safer batteries, safer users. The real issue is the Police dont want to make the roads safe any more over here. They themselves are boy-racers.

The Government also had the option of stopping the private scooters from coming into the country and they too did nothing. They had the option of enforcing safety standards and did nothing there, either.

7 miles of standing traffic here sometimes when we have cruise ships in. Bikes and motorbikes are the only way through them.

I dont understand why cashiers cant sit? As a customer I feel bad for them. It must be uncomfortable, they're not on guard are they.

This idiot doesnt realise I know many ex Amazon drivers. I told him his company wont worry about throwing him under a bus, even to the point of ruining potential future employment.

Dont know if this is a good fit, but here goes.

So our Council spent several £million on a flash new cycle lane in a part of my city where there had been several "accidents"... I hate the word "accident" as from my experience they're usually avoidable, its neglect/negligence not accidental... GREAT! Even better last year they put a 4 foot wall down it to stop drivers parking on it. Or at least they thought it would work.

They didnt count on drivers like tonight's Amazon delivery driver who at the junction mounted the pavement and dropped half his van down at a 45 degree angle so he could park on it and make deliveries. Cue all the cyclists travelling down there, who now cant use the road as they're hemmed in, asking the guy to be more considerate. What happens next is a barrage of abuse and gas lighting.

"I can park in a disabled bay if I want!" and "Amazon drivers can undertake traffic and cut in front of the queue of traffic that's been waiting!"

I would have reported this to Amazon directly, but tbh I'm sick of drivers doing this, and Amazon dont seem to give a shit.

You lot might like the fact CEOs got paid £500k extra last year on average. There's money in society, just they aint sharing.

These people are the same sort of disingenuous lying arseholes we have over here trying to claim people live like kings on benefits (£40 a week or something). The fact 2 people upvoted also says it all.

And why is every Jeremy on Telly a complete c*nt? So far mentioned:

  • "electric cars tyres pollute far more than petrol cars as whole" (WTAF?)
  • "we only make 0.9% of all carbon pollution" (who do we out source to, dumbass?)
  • "we havent the space for wind turbines and solar panels dont work" (come and lick my terminals you conflatious idiot! Never mind the fact we could sell the electric on every house, if we had enough solar, to France and Germany)
  • "wE caNT sToRe EleCTriC" (I mean holy crap, batteries, gravity, heat storage in sand, its not that these dont exist - they push for perfection before they even consider adoption and physics will never allow perfection - lets just get the f*ck on with fixing this problem)

Voluntary work, great. Charity shops and bike rides for cancer, great. Being a Reddit Mod is to suck up to that Billionaire removedychops. They know it, we know it. Why are they rolling in it, enjoying it so much. There is no real power there, no real benefit.

I created a new account 2 days back just so I could see what was going on. Hate Reddit so bad, LOL! I literally mentioned a situation that involved someone who was politically active and they're "NO POLITICS!!!!!! YoU'Re BAnNeD!!!!!!"

Fucking idiots and their bubbles. Not to mention you're an unpaid moderator. Its not a career to be proud of. Get back out in the real world fcol.
