"You know, at some point, safety is just pure waste," Rush told CBS' David Pogue during an episode of his "Unsung Science" podcast. "I mean, if you just want to be safe, don't get out of bed, don't get in your car, don't do anything. At some point, you're going to take some risk, and it really is a risk-reward question."

There's a slight difference between driving in a car and going to the bottom of the ocean in tin can. These are not equivalent.

This dumbass earned his Darwin award, it's just too bad he had to take four other people with him who were lied to about the safety of the expedition.

You seem utterly clueless. Old people don't work as a greeter at Wal-Mart for "extra cash" they do it because they would be homeless otherwise. Teenagers can be exploited, old people can be exploited, but it's fine because you consider fast food to be a shit job. You're a gigantic asshole.

You're implying that certain jobs don't deserve a living wage, but it's fine because higher wages exist in other jobs. So should fast food just disappear? Who is going to work these jobs that don't deserve a living wage? Slaves?

Usually you pay someone to look after your house and pets when you're traveling for an extended period of time, not the opposite. I mean what if someone decided to rent the house for a month but said no to looking after the dog? They'd probably turn them down. They're looking for a free petsitter under the guise of "reduced" rent.

The average pay for a house sitter is $50 to $100 per day visit or $100 to $150 to stay overnight, according to Thumbtack. The exact pay for a house sitter per day will vary depending on where you live, how many pets you have, how long the sitter visits, and whether or not they perform additional responsibilities while in your home, such as collecting mail and carrying goods inside.

This reads way too clearly to be trump. Needs more run on sentences, narcissism and at least one totally bizarre non sequitur.

So, by his reasoning isn't he the ultimate "landed gentry"? He's CEO simply because he's been there since the beginning not because of any particular business acumen. Should we put it to a reddit wide vote to see if he should retain that title or be kicked to the curb? He likes votes, right? He likes democracy, right? Right?

The striking workers are pompous, gilded aristocrats, we must break the strike and crush the unions so us poor common CEO's can have a chance at a little fairness. Woe is me!

If they go through with letting users vote out moderators it will be an absolute shit show. Brigading alt-right discord channels will organize the ouster of pretty much every "librul" subreddit's mods and destabilize the entire platform. In a few months it will be a voat like hellscape. I don't think this idiot would mind that though as long as he gets his big payout from going public.
