"I'm down for anything" and "I'm up for anything" mean the same thing.
Stuff like this is why I've stopped advocating for nuclear. Even though most of the info about why we shouldn't use nuclear is wrong, there are just better alternatives and it's not worth the argument.
Maybe the Democratic party should consider what not following through on their campaign promises gets them. I don't how their failure to realize their promises to their voters is the fault of people voting for third parties
