Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

"I will still vote for him"

[–] ModestMeme@lemm.ee 51 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Mitch, please…. McConnell is a spineless POS who puts his party before his country. It doesn’t matter what he says about Trump when he spent four years licking Trump’s balls.

[–] Steve@startrek.website 15 points 2 months ago (2 children)

The only reason Mitch is still alive is that he's already dead

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

We've been over this before, McTurtle Head is a turtle, and turtles have a very long life.

[–] OCATMBBL@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Lich McConnell has hidden phylacteries throughout all of Middle ~~Earth~~ America.

"A despicable human being, who I will absolutely not impeach for the crimes he committed."

“This guy is a fucking moron…”

Rex Tillerson

"Dumbest goddamn student I ever had."

-Wharton professor William T. Kelley

One of the few Trump voters I know personally is really bothered by the fact that so many of Trump's handpicked officials end up turning against him, because (according to this voter) it indicates that Trump is a poor judge of people.

Rex Tillerson

Holy fucking shit how did I forget this garbage person existed until just now.

Oh my god I'm just... So.... Tired...

[–] DogPeePoo@lemm.ee 1 points 2 months ago

Yeah, me too— tired that is. Yep, ol’ Excon T-Rex was SOS back in 2017-2018.

its weird seeing one of the most evil people alive today call someone 'despicable'

[–] Zachariah@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

he’s just jelly

[–] eran_morad@lemmy.world 18 points 2 months ago

Cool, he can fuck off and die.

[–] Rooskie91 9 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ironic because Trump is a direct result of his life's work. I hope he dies feeling like he wasted his life because of it.

[–] Donebrach@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

He won’t, he’s been immensely successful being an evil piece of shit.

McConnell publicly said Trump is responsible for Jan 6th.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago

[–] irish_link@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Pot meet kettle.

[–] orclev@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago

Proof a broken clock is right twice a day.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

But he's on my team so I must shield him from consequences.

Exactly. He worked to let the guy survive his second impeachment, even after knowing all of this. So he's just as bad.

[–] gravitas_deficiency@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

More recently, he had the following commentary about Trump:

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

He's probably just frozen again. Hit the restart button and maybe he'll say something

[–] Donebrach@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago)

But I heard Kamala campaign has courted donors so like where do you draw the line?

/s in case any deranged tankies come a-commenting in support of fringe party foreign-backed spoiler candidates that will never win.
