Please stop making fun of people for being Virgins. It's tough because I'm a leftist, I love this sub, and I work hard to be a good person and practice good praxis, but I'm also 28 and a virgin. Watching Y'all make fun of people for being virgins or calling people virgins really hurts.

Posting here on an alt because my normal username can be linked to me in real life, but I post here daily. Most of you have probably upvoted my posts at one point or another. But yeah, I'm old, and I'm a virgin, and while it doesn't bother me much anymore, it's really bad praxis to call people virgins as an insult or to make fun of them for being virgins. Incels are bad not because they are virgins but because they just blame women for their cause. Make fun of them for their shitty beliefs, not because they are virgins.

I think for a lot of us we still hold on to the capitalist idea of success that has been handed to us. That we need to have money and a job and a partner and kids and all that to be seen as good. And that's not possible for a lot of us. I know that's not possible for me I've been unemployed for years at this point. So we make fun of them for believing in the system but still not having it. I think it's right when people point out here that the things a lot of the alt-right are mad about are rightful things to be mad about. It's just that they then blame them on the (((globalists))) and muslims and immigrants and SJWs when really it's capitalism and actual rich people.

But seriously, that's all I have to say. Please think before using virgin as an insult. It's just a state of being, that of having not had sex, and every single one of you were a virgin at some point in time. Thanks for reading. I love all y'all anyway.

Yeah, that's all I'm really commenting on here. This site seems to reject cops pretty quickly but puts a lot of effort into embracing vets and I'm asking what real difference is between the two groups, outside of average age

Hmm. Personally I don't even agree with that statement, but wouldn't it be more apt to compare vets to cops that have retired and taken a pension and shit? Like most soldiers don't quit, their contract ends. Does ACAB not apply to retired cops?

I'm trying to have a good faith talk here

I understand that?

I'm perpetually fascinated by people here who tout ACAB while also twisting themselves into pretzels to excuse soldiers. I guess being complicit in a system that terrorizes the poor, minorities, and marginalized groups while acting as armed forces of capital is bad on US soil, but excusable overseas? Am I understanding this right?

China's indirect influence through those pale in comparison to the influences of whatever native country is in question. Like do you really think China's views on LGBTQ+ people, filtered through Disney or Tencent, really makes more of a difference than Disney's own policies, or the cultural hegemon here? We should focus on our own shit

That wasn't my point. People bring up these criticisms of China and hide behind the claims they are critiquing a socialist country/its policies. But hey isn't that weird, that they are only motivated to critique countries that are currently the target of US imperialism?

If you want to discuss AES countries and their flaws, and you only ever do this for China, just be open and honest and say you hate China for whatever absurd reason and move on

Oh word, you live in China? I didn't realize, my bad

I think I can count on one hand the amount of times those topics are brought up about China in good faith. Maybe you've seen it more often and seen the brigades more than me

My thing is, why is it always China lol. No one comes into these spaces with scorching hot takes about the LGBTQ rights in Laos or the economic systems of Cuba. It's a lot of CHINA CHINA CHINA, which between the current culture, and trying to deprogram baby leftists, it's really hard to spot good faith discussions/let them grow. And the thing that really sucks is every good China discussion is like 1 rogue comment away from name calling, it's hard to stay on track
