It is recognized as a part of China by almost every country on earth including the US (despite its endless shit stirring on all fronts, all they're good for nowadays). The ROC, by the way, also claims mainland China and itself to be the same territory, and their constitution reflects that too, what they disagree on is whether they're the legitimate government of all of China or the PRC is.

If you think Taiwan is the legitimate government of all of China you need to come back to the real world from wherever the state department lured you into.

their effort to keep Taiwan out

Lmao. Does California get its own UN seat next? Maybe Alaska while we're at it

Wherever there's Americans, there's fascists. Their media is so xenophobic all the time they think not calling for concentration camps for Mexicans is all it takes to not be racist. Can't believe it's not just acceptable, but popular to act like Finland has any right to be xenophobic against Russians.

"But the war", yeah, check again when the winter war was and what exactly Finland wanted to achieve. Scratch a liberal and a fascist bleeds.

Plus, they actually have a history of injecting backdoors into everything. Israel's government is known in the international stage for their espionage and blackmail first and foremost (on the domestic, for their genocide of course).

Good points. If anybody should be annoyed by the Greens campaigning only for the national election and going dormant the rest of the year it should be PSL.

He was also very concerned about how completely unhinged the CIA was and how it operated with total impunity. No such concerns from any president since, somehow.

"We should vote for Strasser instead of Hitler because they'll both kill the Jews anyway, but Stresser would be better for us"

Man, Americans really are way too comfortable supporting a genocide as long as they don't have to be reminded too often.

Because democrats are deathly afraid of any mildly progressive party getting funding and being on the ballot nationwide, because then their entire blackmail scheme falls apart. You can't go "you fucking better vote for us, or else" anymore.

The democratic party has been suing to take PSL and the Greens off ballots in multiple states (which also serves to cut into their budget, which is almost entirely small contributions). That's the party trying to save democracy apparently.

Everyone knows that he's a fascist. We also know Kamala and her cabinet is gonna be hardly better, so if you're gonna vote, don't waste it on a genocide enabler.

We already know all the talking points of "pushing her left", we know y'all ain't gonna do shit, because you didn't do it with Biden and you certainly wouldn't have done it with Obama, it's always people who voted third party out there organizing while y'all wait for the next election to come around for you to pretend you're doing something.

In fact, the Democrats since the 60's have run campaigns WAY against the threat of late-stage Capitalism.

Bruh what world are you living in lmao. Obama reached to bankers uncaringly tanking the global economy by giving them money to do with as they wished (and, as always, they wished to give themselves a bonus).

[–] Grapho@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 week ago

This. As long as they have a base big and dumb enough to buy any and every excuse to go further right (and blame progressives for it), they'll keep doing it.

This is what the democrats have always been, just now they stopped pretending to care about people abroad or the issues that matter to the voters (and not the donors) and surprisingly that's still good enough for the blue no matter who crowd.
