Nothing. I won't stop voting, but I'm old, tired, poor, mentally ill, and have been looking forward to the sweet oblivion of death since I was a small child. What about the country or planet is happening to make the future look bright to anyone, much less me? At best it's all just meaningless noise.

I live in a blue state but that doesn't mean I'd be justified in believing that I should sit it out. Even if that insane logic about not needing to was valid, there's other shit on the ballot. And even if my vote for or abstaining against an uncontested incumbent is irrelevant, there's still ballot measures that need to be understood.
It's better that way. Kids need to learn early that authority figures use lies to maintain order and control, that the rest of us should educate each other, and that Christmas is 90% capitalism and 10% everything else.
