I went to Japan. I saved my money since before covid and ive been wanting to go my entire life.

I learned that travel reddit is filled with idiot rich people, because theyre the ones who can afford to travel. I got banned from the Japan Travel reddit discord because while they were talking about politics I said that Netanyahu and every US politician are bad.

Japanese people are racist and cold as fuck. Their culture is backwards and has no business on a world stage, but they get a pass because they made some cartoons. Any pro that their culture does have is outweighed by how overwhelmingly miserable, repressed and sad everyone is.

I'd still go back though, there's good people everywhere. I would never willingly spend time in downtown Tokyo again though. I found a bunch of cool stuff to do and see in Tokyo but only 1% involved being in the main downtown area.

Akihabara, Shinjuku, Shibuya? All garbage tourists traps. I'd rather do daytrips to cooler places. Hakone, Mt. Takao and Kamakura were dope.

Kyoto was depressing because of all the again, rich stupid tourists. No matter where you go, no matter where you look, stupid rich person. Osaka was fine but only worth a day if you're going.

If I had to do the trip again, I'd put in a few days to just relax and not sightsee.
