Some of the needles were found to have hollow handles with retractable points, yep, but not all as far as the article suggests. Invariably some needles would have drawn blood, otherwise the "tests" would have been even less credible to begin with.

As credible as such tests could appear even back then, lol.

My apologies for omitting the relevant link below:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pricking

I included it as the URL for this post, but also uploaded the image above, thinking both would show up in the post.

I guess the upload overwrote (overrode?) the URL. I'm still learning Lemmy.

I haven't read any confirmation, but the designs look way too similar to be coincidental.

It would also be fitting that the Bene Gesserit "Witches" should adopt such an implement to test their own subjects, lol.

Now that looks familar... 🤔

The upgraded sprites look like mobile game rejects.

Succinctly put. I feel like the original vision did not intend for them to look so cartoonish.

Starcraft 1 remaster looked so much better, too. Was that done by the same team?

My internet is fast

Was this written in 2002?

Sadly if most computers weren't 'walled garden' experiences then maybe the kids could learn to tinker and fix them. As it is if the issue can't be fixed from a settings app then they're stuck.

Thank you for the clarification. That was a very risky click.

So did someone f**k a costco rotisserie chicken and this is how I'm learning about it?

I remember being so hyped up for Radeon 680m laptops when outlets first reviewed them in February 2021.

OEMs didn't get supply until fucking January the next year. PCgamer is 100% correct.

Anyone have a mirror to the clip and/or article? It appears to be paywalled or something. (Account walled?)

I'm already starting to miss these good ol' fashion human-made photoshop shitposts & memes.

Hi /c/Waterloo! Can and may anyone recommend a reasonably priced bike repair service? Even a home shop if you know of one. I'm looking to get a tune up along with a chain replacement, disc brake pad replacement and maybe even brake line bleeding.

I've gone to McPhail's Cycle & Sports in the past, and have been very happy with their work, but this year my budget is extra tight so I'm looking for any other options.

Thanks very much in advance!
