I've just started playing a bit after 6 months absence or so and was wondering what people are playing and having fun with. Are the upcoming balance changes going to change much up for you?

Since I have been playing a Signet Power Reaper Open World Build with Greatsword and Axe+Warhorn on my main for ages, I really enjoyed to add a Celestial Harbinger Open World Build with Staff and Pistol+Focus to my arsenal. I love how different those specs play.

Also my Reveneant which I used to play as a Celsetial Renegade with Shortbow now has a Power Vindicator Build with Greatsword as an alternative which also plays very differently. I guess, I like variety (as in I decide to try something new and not ArenaNet changes stuff that wasn't broken).

As for the Upcoming Balance Changes ... I really hope that they reconsider some of the changes, e. g. Scourge.

I love playing Cele builds. They feel so powerful yet versatile! Definitely would be interested in checking out that Cele Harb build if you've got a gw2skills link?

My build is very similar to the Celestial Harbinger Open World Build on GuildJen. I'm running Focus instead of Warhorn and I have slightly adjusted the traits:

Haven't changed my builds in forever. Since I have a tonne of alts but generally only play my main, my main has gotten every single possible build

  • Power Mirage open world swiss army knife build, a tool for every situation and mobility for days. My favourite.

  • Power Chrono 20k solo DPS glass build, for when shit has to die and isn't too much of a danger to me.

  • Condi Virtuoso 15k solo DPS glass build, for when I want to scale with support or I need sustained self-heal.

  • Diviner's Chrono Quickness bot, build to drown as many people in as much Quickness as physically possible.

  • Condi Mirage Alac bot and preferred killbuild for if shit has to die and will fucking wreck me otherwise.

  • Memestrel Chrono because I can't be arsed to wait for an actual healer, Mesmer can heal just fine.

  • Diviner Chrono superspeed bot because that NPC takes fucking forever and ain't nobody got time fo dat.

  • Trailblazer Condi Mirage built for max mobility because fuck you I can't be arsed to deal with bullshit builds in WvW while doing easy dailies.

At the moment I enjoy playing Daredevil pistol/pistol in PvE. It is rather satisfying spamming Unload :D I have almost the same build in PvP, except of using Unload, I use Sneak Attack to bleed my opponents to death, then Black Powder and dodge to stealth. Repeat XD

You actually mean Daredevil and not Deadeye?

In open world I've been having fun playing dagger-dagger condition daredevil. The amount of sustain I get combined with all the evades makes me basically unkillable in most environments. :D

I find pure condition builds too slow in Open World. Especially when you go to Core Tyria Zones where a Power Build pretty much one-shots everything and is off to the next target while a Condition Build is still ramping up its damage. Not to mention weapon racks and other environment targets which are still pretty much immune to condition damage in Core Tyria Zones.

That's very true. Although, I would argue that a too strong build takes fun out of fights in open world. For me the fun is in using my abilities just at the right time to evade and survive ridiculous situations, adventuring in an environment that actually feels dangerous.

I do need to create and try out a proper power build at some point... Maybe on my Reaper once I manage to level my necro.

Power Reaper is ridiculously strong in Open World, but I think that Necromancers kinda earned the right to have such a strong build. I played a Necromancer "Main" (I'm an Altoholic) from launch and I still remember the days when we were kicked from Dungeon Groups, because we were considered to be dead weight.
