Trump rambles like an insane asylum resident literally every day and nobody bats an eye

Biden forgets a couple names and has a bad throat and everyone loses their minds

Trump rambles like an insane asylum resident literally every day and nobody bats an eye

You're posting under a meme literally mocking Trump for rambling like an insane asylum resident. He's been ordered by courts to pay $83.3 million for shit he has said and is actively being procecuted for other things. You don't notice it anymore because Trump has been criticized daily for the last decade, whereas calls for Biden to step down are new, because he only recently started acting senile.

[–] neclimdul@lemmy.world 25 points 4 months ago

I think it was more an exasperated call to the fact one candidate is flubbing and it's front page news covered by every tv news station 24/7 and the other is incoherent 24/7, leading in polls, and if you weren't on social media you'd miss it.

Seems pretty reasonable to be frustrated.

[–] Phegan@lemmy.world 18 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Here's the thing. For trump, the insane ramblings are a feature, not a bug. For Biden, we need people to turn up and vote for him, and normal sane people don't want someone who seems checked out.

Comparing them is not even reasonable at this point, and Trump's supports are not reasonable

[–] EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world 9 points 4 months ago (2 children)

I full agree on not wanting someone who’s checked out but it’s literally we eat the shit sandwich or we lose democracy.

There's foreign involvement that wants the racist rapist with 34 felonies to run the show, because it will be terrible for our country. The cult that has become the republikkklowns lack critical thinking and just believe and do what they're told to do by fox "news".

For a sad laugh, think about how batshit things would be if Biden had 34 felonies, banged a porn star while his wife was pregnant at home, and then he talked about becoming a dictator, not accepting election results and plans an insurrection. They would be out of their damn minds. BUT, since it's their guy, nothing wrong there, good christian, speaks to them blah blah blah. Life must be simple when you're that dumb. All they have is fear and hatred for shit that isn't even a problem or happening.

[–] CosmicTurtle0@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 4 months ago (2 children)

I just listened to The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart where they discussed the viability of Biden's campaign.

The Democrats have the unfortunate condition of being, you know, sane. We have no issue of challenging the status quo, asking for a change.

I have yet to hear from anyone of significance say Trump should suspend his campaign for any of the same reasons that Democrats have for Biden. The GOP have already begun the "fall in line" stage and the fucker hasn't even been formally nominated. He's the "presumptive nominee."

The funny thing is that the GOP could, quite literally, put in anyone at this point. Any fascist asshole (e.g. DeSantos, MTG, Boebert, etc.) and their base will come out to vote for them.

If Biden gets to the convention and gets nominated, then yes, we MUST coalesce around him and campaign for him because the alternative is FAR worse. Make no mistake: this is an absolutely shit hand we the voters have been dealt. But one party is determined to shit on the table and make you eat it or jail you if you don't.

Was about to say, why isn't Biden responding to every question about his flubs with "Covfefe."

Trees can explode. Windmills cause cancer. Exercise is bad because the body has a limited supply of energy, like a battery.

A pity that Trump missed his true calling as a scientist.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

He's got a very good brain and a relationship with MIT though.

"Also, leaves — when you have years of leaves — dried leaves — on the ground, it just sets it up. It’s really a fuel for a fire. So they have to do something about it."

And apparently leafs aren't bio-degradable and they just sit there and pile up until they catch fire.

Sometimes I forget how fucking monumentally stupid he is. He has the mind of a god damn child because he never grew up.

[–] _stranger_@lemmy.world 10 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Most kids know that leaves decompose. Don't give him an out like that, he had every opportunity over his 70+ years to improve as a human and has failed at every turn. If you dehydrated his body and ground him to dust, then reduced that dust to its component elements, you'd probably have to sell them at a discount after disclosing their origin. He is, in my opinion, worth less than the sum of his parts.

ah yes, trees. notorious for falling down after 18 months.

[–] RidderSport@feddit.org 23 points 4 months ago

You forgot the explosion part

Why do you spend so much on your military if you can just use those trees

[–] NABDad@lemmy.world 9 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

As much as I hate to defend this blithering idiot, I believe what he was trying to say is after a tree falls, it dries out and becomes fuel for wildfires.

Edit, source: I've worked for several blithering idiots and I've developed some skill at translating their gibberish into conherent communication.

[–] Album@lemmy.ca 6 points 4 months ago

The lack of punctuation doesn't help. whoever transcribed this this kinda missed that.

Trees fall down. After a short period of time, 18 months, they (the fallen trees) dry out.

It's just funny the way he can't get out a coherent thought.

If you ask me trump's been senile for a long ass time, he just hides it better with energy/gusto.

[–] Ultraviolet@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

And using that to justify increased logging, which is cutting down live trees. It's still nonsense.

Conservatism is a plague of idiocy, oppression and death. It always has been.

[–] Holzkohlen@feddit.de 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Hate this misnomer. What are they conserving other than profits?

Their perceived status over those around them and the hierarchy that binds them to their place.

[–] nixx@lemmy.ca 19 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You are all missing the point.

Trees are not a "problem", but rather an untapped resource.

I mean look at them, millions, nah billions of them just sitting there, none of them are generating a penny for our billionaires.

Imagine what our glorious billionaires can do if we allow them to just chop down all those trees? Think of all the beautiful toiler paper for our collective asses, as well as the billion of bibles (including a copy of the constitution) that they can sell to us for the low low price of $65.

And as an added benefit, getting rid of all those trees will also eliminate the problem of forest fires. You can't have those without forests in the first place.

To be sure, some forests will need to be left alone, specially those close to residential areas, but not for the reasons that you think.

We need those forests to actually burn down, hopefully taking down those houses next to them. Why? Think about it. If all those houses burn down then we can use those trees we chopped down elsewhere to build new houses, a BOOM for the construction billionaires. And also, it means that houses next to those forest that can accidentally burn down will have to have an increase in their insurance premium, we can even make it so that forests close to houses have a private company to fight forest fires, think of all the benefits for billionaires.

Once you start thinking money, it all makes sense

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago (2 children)

I need this in the style of Trump.

[–] ResoluteCatnap@lemmy.ml 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I tried asking ChatGPT to roleplay as Trump and repeat it in it's own words, however it gave me back the same near-verbatim. I think this proves that the original text wasn't far off

Listen, folks, you're totally missing the point here. Trees aren't a problem; they're an incredible, untapped resource.

Look at them—millions, no, billions of trees just sitting there, doing nothing. They're not making a single cent for our amazing billionaires. Imagine the fantastic things our billionaires could do if we let them chop down all those trees. We’d have an endless supply of beautiful toilet paper for everyone and billions of Bibles, plus a copy of the Constitution, all for the fantastic price of $65.

And guess what? By getting rid of all these trees, we’d also solve the problem of forest fires. No trees, no forest fires—so simple.

Now, we’ll keep some forests, especially near homes, but not for the reasons you think. We need those forests to burn down sometimes and take a few houses with them. Why? Because then we can rebuild those homes with the trees we chopped down elsewhere—a huge win for the construction industry. Plus, it means higher insurance premiums for homes near forests, and we can even privatize forest fire services. Think of all the benefits for our billionaires.

When you start thinking about the money, it all makes perfect sense.

I hate that my brain rambling are that close to ChatGPT’s output.

The ever amazing Republican, Teddy Roosevelt created the USFS as a way to create jobs and have sustainable lumber resources. He also wanted to make sure that nature was conserved so he could go use his guns to kill things. Of course he was so badass he fought bears with his hands instead.

That is the kind of Republican we need. Make Republicans Great Again!

[–] tegs_terry@feddit.uk 3 points 4 months ago (3 children)

Wasn't that back when republican meant liberal and democrat was conservative? When did they switch?

Trees can explode actually 😅 Eucalyptus and Aspen trees are know to explode during bush fires.

They don't explode unbidden like you might assume given Trump's comment. He seems to do this a lot; he talks about something real, in a way that demonstrates he's garbage at communicating anything even remotely technical.

The real solutions is of course tending our forests to ensure there's not enough combustible material to cause dangerous fires. More resources for the forest service is essential. It makes me wonder if these gaffs are far more effective at directing our attention away from the substance of the problem with Trump

[–] sawdustprophet@midwest.social 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

FYI there's a typo in your Wikipedia link.

white house to be replaced with large black tower

civil servants will all be based off of Ivanka's stem cells

the white hand of trump is ... trying to get up from the couch

[–] whoreticulture@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago

Trump is not entirely correct, but there is actual fire science he is kind of referencing that is correct. Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Trees aren't necessarily always good, and cutting down trees and removing fuel load (fallen limbs, trees, leaves technically but not as big a factor) ... removing fuel load is an extremely important part of preventing huge wildfires. There are ecological reasons to remove trees, including fire prevention, and also including prevention of succession (sometimes trees can take over grasslands/shrublands ... grasslands are a much rarer and more threatened ecotype than many forests).

[–] JimmyBigSausage@lemm.ee 5 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You can’t make this shit up. 🤦

Maybe you can't but he did so obviously someone can

Do you think he once heard someone talking about an explosion in a sawmill and his mind turned it into exploding trees like a 5 year old would?

In really specific conditions trees can "explode", but not in the way he imagines.

[–] PugJesus@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

If a tree explodes in the woods and no one is around to hear, does it make a sound?

[–] Artyom@lemm.ee 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Trees can explode actually, but primarily when they are filled with sap and hit with a sudden, extreme cold snap. They'll only explode due to heat if they're already surrounded by fire and are going to burn no matter what.

[–] PhlubbaDubba@lemm.ee 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Also lightning, lightning can cause some trees to explode if it strikes them directly

[–] riskable@programming.dev 3 points 4 months ago

Trump: "We are going to ban lightning! These electrons... They come across the border and let me tell you folks... They're not sending their best."
