This is one of those posts I want to downvote just because I'm angry I saw it.

[–] LillianVS@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

I wouldn't judge you for doing so

[–] GillBates@feddit.de 16 points 1 year ago

This is good because you can pee on the floor and you don’t have to clean it up right???

[–] paorzz@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

(^~^) It's not real. I refuse to believe it.

[–] Renakoan@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

AI generation is a nice mental exit if you need one pal

[–] iraldir@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Wrong community, there is nothing mild about this

[–] LittleKerr@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Mild, mold... just one letter, a tiny typo.

[–] imbrokenowboi@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

At least you can't tell the difference between carpet and shit.

[–] sgtcasey@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

I’d be more worried about pee.

[–] pleasemakesense@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

What a terrible day to have eyes

[–] PCChipsM922U@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 year ago

WTF is wrong with your folks 😂.

[–] Squibbles@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Haha we just rented a house last weekend that had carpet that not only went up the side of the tub but had about 6 inches of carpet on the top edge too. Deep pile stuff too, not as low as in OP's picture. Quite a sight to see in person

[–] LillianVS@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

That makes my skin crawl

[–] constantokra@lemmy.one 3 points 1 year ago

Wouldn't set foot in that den of horrors.

[–] lhx@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Ugggh.... the amount of mold eating the urine and poop particles is disgusting.

[–] Richard@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

I’d be too scared to pee standing up…

[–] latca@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Mold spores live it though!

[–] LittleKerr@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Not infuriating, that's straight up disgusting. Why would anyone do that???

[–] felicity@feddit.de 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Is this in the UK? It is, isn’t it.

I just audibly gasped. This seems like a sensory nightmare getting out of the shower, or during periods of high humidity.

The carpet is brown for a reason.

[–] zarquon@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

That linked reddit thread is accusing the poster of being a karma bot. Does lemmy already have those?

[–] mobiuscoffee@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

But there is no karma here?

[–] LillianVS@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Nope! We do not have karma bots. Karma is about as valuable as the zimbabwe dollar here

[–] Moonrise2473@feddit.it 2 points 1 year ago

That's the main disadvantage of Lemmy. I am paying my rent converting the reddit karma to dollars... 😢

I thought carpet in the bathroom was normal as a kid, since that's what we had in our house.

😬 just..... gross.

[–] TEKUMS@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Omg, I can just imagine the gross sounds it would make when wet D:

[–] zarquon@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 year ago

Is such a funny mix of "must be so retro" and "that carpet still looks new

[–] A_Toasty_Strudel@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Omg this tub right here officer.

[–] Moonrise2473@feddit.it 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I would like to know how much mold can be find behind it after a decade

[–] _Stalwart_@lemmy.fmhy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Make it a month or less. Things will go crazy if that thing comes in contact with water.

[–] theCOORN@lemmy.fmhy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

I wouldn't be surprised if there was carpet in the tub

[–] Slatlun@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

If they had the courage of their convictions they would've carpeted the inside of the tub too.

I had no idea it's a thing. But now I hate it

[–] glaber@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

This isn't just mildly infuriating, this is absolutely despicable

[–] kalahlora@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 year ago

I don't like this at all.

[–] cubicularius_rex@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Had carpet like that in England many years ago. Twp primary school boys and a bunch of their friends in the house - things got squelchy real quick
