It doesn't matter how desperate or disillusioned you are, there is no excuse for violence.

Ask them about Ukraine, or Israel, or the cops.

It does matter how well funded and backed by the State Department you are, then violence is always justified.

there is no excuse for violence.

Sure, but it at least explains violence, no? Then perhaps we can solve this problem by not making housing only for rich people? At this point, I'll even gladly be happy with a tax cut that applies to the working class too.

Yeah it's definitely way higher than 0.02% of LA that's homeless, a quick google search finds the official 2023 number was 1.2% of the city's population, 60x higher than the number this dipshit pulled out of their ass

Realistically, it's even higher considering the way the government measures homelessness across the country is absurd and pretty much guaranteed to dramatically undercount

A classic online debate tactic is to pull out of their ass 0.001% or 99.9999%, when they really have no idea what the percentage actually is.

Wait until the sheeple learn that the government intentionally exaggerates black crime rates to make white people look better.

Sorry Bubba, you're not special.

One study in LA found that when you have a multi billion dollar entertainment industry, a multi billion dollar tech industry, celebrity enclaves, and somehow still have a homeless crisis, you have utterly failed as a society

0.02% of LA's population of 3.8 million? Are they saying a group of about 800 people alone commit 15% of all violent crime in LA? at that point you could just home all of them in a few apartment building

[–] chungusamonugs@hexbear.net 29 points 8 months ago

Crime statistics are not correct in any sense of the word because they are distributed by those with the monopoly on violence. If the cops show up and dismantle a tent city and the unhouse people living in it become agitated or mouth off, that counts as "violent crime".

Sounds like you're making excuses for lowlife pieces of shit.

There is "no excuse" for your american soyciety, one of the richest in the world, to allow its citizens to starve and die in agony on the streets. This is why there are so many americans who want to escape their shithole country and live elsewhere.

I never hear more people complain about the unhoused than rich people in LA.

Everyone is pretty shitty to homeless but they are exceptional with it. I’ve had to be in Malibu a few times and overhearing the way they talking about it is literally like people talking about ants or termites or something it’s absolutely vile

[–] Tankiedesantski@hexbear.net 5 points 8 months ago

No funding for social programs, only deal with homeless! only-throw

[–] tamagotchicowboy@hexbear.net 18 points 8 months ago

Rural chuds have some weird racist brainworm shit where they're proud of the fact they didn't see/haven't seen various minorities since they were some advanced age or in so many years because they live under a log in the sticks.

Europe contains a lot more racists and xenophobes than the US. Your entire region is like our Arkansas.

The world is famously America and Europe.
