CW: I dont know where to post this, but wish content creators stopped saying "sm_sh the like button" (hexbear.net)

It came to my attention about a year ago that the word "sm_sh" in this context comes from r_pe terminology. Its put a whole new angle on that phrase, and I now remember the likes of Brand saying it as well as other shamed youtubers.

Now I am not saying they're all abusive people. Not at all. Just that the term originated from abusers. Maybe we should campaign on youtubers content to have the term changed?
