Will the megathread be transfered here?
it's already stickied
Bravo to you. This was absolutely the right call and I hope you let it rot if there isn't a massive change of direction. Frankly, for me, even if they do roll things back I am still done with them. P2P is how the internet should be (funny considering torrenting has been a thing for how long now?) and thankfully we have guys like you to step up and help get this off the ground. Thanks!
Glad to see Piracy made it over 🙇🏽♂️
naturally!
Im prolly gonna stick to Lemmy even if Reddit magically apologizes and gives us each a free cookie. Much better comment interface, and it's not Reddit. :3
I love Reddit, But plan on using Lemmy now too. Doesn't seem too bad.
I know, right? For me it's a drop in replacement. All that's required is for the people to stick around.
Seems quite good. Although I'm having some trouble with connecting to some instances (e.g. feddit.dk) Edit: Everything seems to work now (2023-06-17)
That's the hard part ain't it?
But what if they.... pirate, the um... piracy?
playing our game means we've already won :D
Hypothetically speaking, if this instance gets taken down would it be possible for the admin to recover the data and respawn it on a new instance?
Respect. Decentralization fits perfect with piracy anyhow.
Yaarrrrr
Honestly hoping that Reddit does nothing so we can build a better commnuity here
Nice :)
Always good to see this pop in here. I'm already liking Lemmy much better so far too.
