So you know when people mimick a butterfly with their hands? Yeah, just that one-handed.

[–] BearGun@ttrpg.network 8 points 1 day ago

Projection is one hell of a drug

[–] a14o@feddit.org 65 points 1 day ago

Ah so that's what they trained AI on

One handed touch typing. Piano playing. Palming a basketball. Horror movie actor. So much non masturbation potential.

[–] fraksken@infosec.pub 3 points 1 day ago

I skipped the "non" while reading and upvoting.

You can keep the upvote though.

First thought was the face hugger from Alien. If your first thought was anything sexual, you probably need help.

[–] Mozingo@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

... But face huggers are sexual. That's why they're scary.

[–] slaacaa@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Yes, they are sexually assaulting the human host, and forcibly impregnating them. I read this was an intentional choice in the movie(s) to make it as scary and uncomfortable as possible. Same with the “feminine” curves of xenomorph

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

Joke's on you, they're the same thought

[–] fl42v@lemmy.ml 16 points 1 day ago

I'm wondering if the fingers move independently or also mirror each other's movement. Because if they do, those people are one custom keyboard away from pretty comfortable PC usage.

[–] DmMacniel@feddit.org 35 points 1 day ago (1 children)

My first thought was, if each finger could be used individually or if they also mirror each other.

[–] fraksken@infosec.pub 1 points 1 day ago

The muscles and tendons are there.

[–] scytale@lemm.ee 22 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Dude can be an amazing piano player.

His impatient finger tapping would be pretty epic too.

[–] simplejack@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

OP thought someone said penised, not pianist.

[–] webpack@lemmy.world 9 points 1 day ago

I was thinking about guitar/piano...

[–] RacerX@lemm.ee 5 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Somewhat serious question: What would these people do for gloves?

[–] JayDee@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 1 day ago

Call a tailor probably

[–] Jericho_Kane@lemmy.org 1 points 1 day ago

Idk, if i were a trailer, that would sound like a fun challenge

[–] Mickey7@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I think you have to go with oversized mittens

[–] caseyweederman@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

Four of them.

[–] ultrahamster64@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago

My first thought is that it looks like face hugger from Alien

[–] Honytawk@lemmy.zip 8 points 1 day ago

Mad thumb war gamer

[–] luckystarr@feddit.org 7 points 1 day ago

Is this mutation actually useful or an impediment?

[–] ouRKaoS@lemmy.today 7 points 1 day ago

Hear me out...

You know those "professional" slapping contests?

[–] cmgvd3lw@discuss.tchncs.de 7 points 1 day ago

Speak for yourself. We all are innocent people.

[–] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

"the forearm bone duplicates itself" which one does I wonder ? is it always the same ?

[–] werefreeatlast@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I think its great and I love it! Can't wait to see people with extra fingers. Each one is useful!

[–] MyTurtleSwimsUpsideDown@fedia.io 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Talk about opposable thumbs!

[–] OZFive@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

I don't see any thumbs on that hand!

[–] themakara@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

My first thought was "General Kenobi!"
