Chrystia Freeland of 2025 fighting hard to defeat Chrystia Freeland of 2024.
About to get third party'd by Poilievre's press team.
I'm not pumped about any of the contenders, but Carney probably has the best chance at shaking off Trudeau's lousy popularity.
Carney is remarkably good at presenting himself as a competent manager of the status quo economic system. A competent manager may not be what we need, but I guess it's better than what we've got.
Was looking at Carney's wiki page, he's at least come out against income inequality in the past, viewed stuff like occupy as constructive, pro sustainable economy.
Hoping they all drop platforms if they haven't already, LPC registration looks to be free, considering registering to vote in the leadership election (cut off is the 27th), not the party I align with (decidedly NDP), but they're the ABC choice for a lot of people.
Agreed. I registered a week ago.
I'm also NDP but Singh has a snowball's chance in hell of winning, and I have never voted Con (for obvious reasons).
So Liberal it is. Having Carney as leader would make it easier on my conscience.
Proof that she is a con and is lying to the country is she won't do interviews with anyone who will point out her 5 years of contradictions and ask her ti explain. She will only do interviews with people who recieved government subsidy.
If she really is against elites, ask if people have a protected right to protest in front of parliment against the federal government.
Did you listen to the interview before posting that? Just wondering.
Grassroots like those who expect to pay massive capital gains taxes.
