Yeah! Just because a racist, fascist douchebag does a seig heil doesn't mean you should tell obvious big mean old lies about him being a Nazi!

You tell those woke mind virus victims, Joe!

Joe does not rely on facts he relies on his talent to hold conversation and trap people to agreeing with his opinions. He spews the biggest bunch of horse shit. I am from Southern Africa, I listend to a podcast where he was talking about cheetahs. Yeah he had no idea and talking garbage about how cheetahs behave. That's when my suspicions about him were verified and I was like fuck this guy. Don't support this douche.

Joe Rogan defending a billionaire for doing a overt nazi salute in public? Crazy. Who could have seen this coming.

[–] conditional_soup@lemm.ee 17 points 1 day ago

Joe is operating in bad faith here.

Q: At what point can we call a spade a spade and they'd agree?

A: Never

Even if we were literally rounding Jews up into boxcars and shipping them off to be killed in ovens, the republicans would be like "OH, SO WE JUST CALL EVERYONE NAZIS NOW".

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yeah, remember when people would say that qons could be literally goosestepping for their orange dickhead (or someone else standing in for the same role they are so very thirsty to worship) and they'd still be gaslighting about it?

The real president just threw Nazi salutes, and here we are...

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

It's similar to their regular "you call everything racism" bullshit. They really do seem to believe that acknowledging what they are doing is unfair to them.

I'm noticing that being a "man's man" seems to correlate with being a bootlicker.

[–] ElcaineVolta@kbin.melroy.org 65 points 2 days ago

an entire ideology totally deaf to irony.

[–] SoftTeeth@lemmy.world 41 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Anti intellectualism and submitting to fascist authority both align with machismo culture.

Moat of them have been trained from a very young age by their religious leaders to beleive anything without proof and that malice is the most effective and moral way to obtain dopamine.

And extreme toxicity to the point that it drives everyone away from them so they just start with some Olympic level mental gymnastics to explain why it's not their fault people hate them.

Man. I would love to hear less from this guy. I block every goddamn channel on YouTube that has clips of this ass hat, and yet, YouTube keeps feeding me videos of him. What the everloving fuck?

[–] curious_dolphin@slrpnk.net 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

So, what I'm hearing is, you engage with every video that features Joe Rogan, and now you're surprised the algorithm is feeding you more Joe Rogan? /s 🤣 sorry, I couldn't help myself

[–] Shuilishu@lemmynsfw.com 2 points 1 day ago

Ha. Good point. I need to just get off YouTube. But alas.

[–] Zero22xx@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I wish that I existed in the better timeline where after Fear Factor was over, this guy went on to sell vacuum cleaners on infomercials where he belongs instead of being some sort of political talking head. I mean, what the fuck.

I joked about this once, but I'm starting to think that if the Democrats want to win the people over, they need to get that guy who hosted Survivor to run for president, and get Guy Fieri to run a podcast to get all the kids onboard. The USA might not trust politicians or science or education anymore but they sure as hell trust '00s era reality TV stars.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

I joked about this once, but I’m starting to think that if the Democrats want to win the people over, they need to get that guy who hosted Survivor to run for president, and get Guy Fieri to run a podcast to get all the kids onboard.

America elected a B-movie actor and then a reality TV show star as presidents, so I think you're probably right. The culture of celebrity worship in America could be the only way to get through to people.

[–] Bakkoda@sh.itjust.works 54 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Do people always forget how the story about crying wolf ends? A real fuckin wolf shows up. Rips the kid to sheds. Horrible ending.

[–] frog_brawler@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

An entire town decided that they’d have a child act as the monitor for a known threat; he makes two mistakes and then they stop believing him as he does the job the town put him there to do. At no point does anyone decide, “hey, maybe we should put two kids up there… just in case.”

That's giving Joe way too much credit. Goebbels was evil, but he was also smart.

[–] jason 12 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Spot on. There are so many good quotes from him and Goering. I'm not a Nazi weirdo or anything, but they're just so... Relevant.

Goebbels:

A lie told once remains a lie but a lie told a thousand times becomes the truth.

Makes you think some leaders studied this a bit...

Nazi sympathizer = Nazi

[–] zib@lemmy.world 99 points 2 days ago (16 children)

I still can't for the life of me figure out why anyone gives a shit about what Joe Rogan says. We need to stop giving monumentally stupid people such large platforms.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 31 points 2 days ago

I can't either, but he helped swing the election.

When your podcast accepts Nazis on your show ... your show is Nazi propaganda

[–] TheFogan@programming.dev 38 points 2 days ago

More accurately, when your podcast accepts nazi's on your show... and you let them go off on rants and you don't push back on them... your show is nazi propoganda.

It's perfectly reasonable for a show to have horrific people on.... so long as they loudly are showing "No that is bullshit, here's why that is bullshit!".

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 111 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Keep doubling down, you fucking jackasses. Rest of the world is watching.

[–] Vent@lemm.ee 42 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Key word is "watching". They're more than happy to have an audience as long as they get what they want. And they do and they are.

Joe Rogan is a meathead.

Close your eyes and imagine a meathead.

That's Joe Rogan.

Only a fool would listen to what Joe Rogan has to say because only fools listen to meatheads.

Unfortunately, we live in an age where meatheads are idolized by millions of people. Because our educational systems have failed. Because many, if not most, humans were simply not ready for the internet.

He’s not hitler. He’s just a nazi.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago

I wouldn't be shocked if Joe didn't know that there were Nazis other than Hitler.

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's the voice of a generation...

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The generation that grew up breathing lead fumes.

[–] Clinicallydepressedpoochie@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

So weird to see this guy now after watching him early in his career on news radio. Then watching fear factor from time to time.

When I think of Rogan now I remember the day Howard Stern was kicked off of clear channel. I guess the only thing that really bothered Republicans was that Howard wasn't on their side.

[–] ElcaineVolta@kbin.melroy.org 76 points 2 days ago (15 children)

if you still have spotify, please cancel it.

[–] floofloof@lemmy.ca 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yes, I guess at this point Spotify is a pro-Nazi business.

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 32 points 2 days ago (1 children)

These people play the "left is always over reacting" but they would carry water for Elon no matter how damming the evidence. They've shown they don't care about evidence or reality its all vibes to them.

[–] resin85@lemmy.ca 45 points 2 days ago

I feel dumber just having read that. Apparently pointing out that someone made a Nazi salute is covering for the fact that .... checks notes ... you're an asshole. The fact that this village idiot is popular is truly a damning indictment of America.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 68 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Can always count on Joe Rogan to be the smartest man in the room when he’s alone.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 69 points 2 days ago (20 children)

I don't know, I think he may be the first person to ever be stupider than himself.
