"Employs" does not mean "Fairly Pays"

Also if hourly, depending on your laws, could mean lack of benefits packages and things too.

At very least it transfers all the risks of economical downturns or even operational fuck ups to the workers.

Only in America hourly job with no social security net is considered a flex.

I guess “enslaves” didn’t roll as well as “employs”.

Hey ford. Where were all those hourly auto workers today, huh?

Most are still working actually. Only the Michigan Plant plant west of Detroit is on strike currently. UAW is planning on doing tolling strikes across the various plants across the country to keep the Big 3 on their toes

Still working... for now. Won't take very long for the rest to evaporate if the Ford CEO keeps her head as far up her ass as it has been.

I also liked how they say assembled in the USA but make no mention of where the parts are made. Probably fools the simple into thinking they are 100% American made.

Nothing complex is 100% made in America. Basically anything electronic is impossible.

It's like a nod to the old Daily Show intro:

"Ford. Owned by more Americans than any other nationality."

[-] Grayox@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago

Its even funnier cause the United Auto Workers Union just went on strike

So did my job in college. There was like 30 students all with 3-5 hours of work a week.
