The cheaper Standard Two Tier Algorithm(STTA) is based on ELISA-test and Blot-test. The STTA is prone to false negatives. ("Limitations and Confusing Aspects of Diagnostic Testing for Neurologic Lyme Disease in the United States" Ref: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6322465/ )
