Poilievre is the only party leader in Parliament who still refuses to obtain the necessary security clearance to access classified documents on foreign governments' political interference activities in Canada.

"I have no knowledge of interference."

It is unfathomable to me that this man wants to lead a country, but refuses to undergo even basic vetting.

I have a higher security clearance than Pollievre does, and I don't even work in any government related capacity.

It's even bigger worry that so many are willing to put him in charge despite this.

Yeah, the fact that this is not immediately disqualifying is insane.

I'm guessing it's got to do more with dissatisfaction with the current government than liking Pipsqueak. There are good reasons for dissatisfaction.

There are, but I detest this Canadian mindset of replacing bad with worse.

Thanks for letting us know you have access. A friendly mercenary may be black-bagging you for a Cadillac ride shortly.

This is the best reason for passing a law that federal party leaders must have the appropriate security clearance. Yes, this can be abused, but not having to get has been heavily abused, as well.

"I left Mr. Brown's campaign completely of my own volition," she said in that statement.

"In no instance was I coerced in any manner, by anyone, at any time. I am an experienced parliamentarian, seasoned communicator, and former cabinet minister who has proven more than capable of developing senior grade positions entirely based on my own read of a situation … to suggest that I'm not is ridiculous."

This is specifically not a denial that interference was attempted.

And this...well...

"Preventing that division is why I've always taken into account the perspectives of many different Canadian interest groups and stakeholders before addressing issues that pertain to diaspora communities," she said.

Here's the best summary of it that I've read so far:

"CPC MP Michelle Rempel Garner says the Indian Consulate pressuring her to quit her position as Patrick Brown's campaign co-chair mid-campaign in the 2022 CPC leadership contest had nothing at all to do with her subsequent decision to quit her position as Patrick Brown's campaign co-chair mid-campaign."

Michelle Rempel Garner = Canada's version of Marjorie Taylor Greene.
