More of a statement less of a question but we’re all thinking about you friend.

Do the Palestinian people actually care if Harris or Trump is the American president?

Also I give my complete love and respect to the Palestinian people in their struggle against Israel. I have such deep admiration for Palestine and hope for liberation soon.

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 46 points 1 week ago (1 children)

We don't care much because they are both Zionists . I think Trump is more Zionist and it will be more difficult

[–] axont@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Thank you for answering. I hope you and your family can stay safe.

As an American I just want to say how sorry I am that the US keeps helping Israel. I wish there was more we could do to stop it, but honestly the US is basically an occupied country at this point and most people don't even realize it. Which brings me to my question, do most Palestinians at this point realize that they are being genocided, and that Israel intends to eradicate you all? Or are some still deluding themselves into believing that if they're really good boys and girls then Israel will stop one day?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 36 points 1 week ago

The American-Zionist government is the reason for the death of every child in Gaza. Yes, Palestinians know that

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 27 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How do you feel about the Palestinian Authority?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 39 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They are traitors, they do not represent the Palestinian people, they are the dogs of Israel

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I am so sorry that they are the ones tasked with representing you in the international stage.

Do you think things would have slowly gotten even worse than they are now if the PA had won the elections instead of Hamas?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 22 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Yes, of course, and the Palestinian issue will end.Hamas is the one Which showed the Palestinian issue to the world and our suffering in the ongoing siege and killing since 1948

[–] FunkyStuff@hexbear.net 15 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Exactly, thank you. I wish you a lot of strength, I hope this genocide ends as soon as possible and your people can be free. Solidarity forever.

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago

I hope so، It will be a liberation day great joy for the Palestinian people and for all the free and honorable people in the world

What kind of food do you eat day to day?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 32 points 1 week ago (2 children)

I like to break my fast with thyme and Palestinian olive oil, one of the best types of oil in the world, and also with hummus and falafel. Most Palestinian people break their fast like this.

How is your safety and comfort now? Are you OK?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 37 points 1 week ago

I'm fine now, but I'm not okay, honestly, because the massacres don't stop. Death is everywhere. Yesterday, they bombed 16 houses in Jabalia, in northern Gaza, and more than 200 people were killed.

[–] BeamBrain@hexbear.net 23 points 1 week ago (1 children)

No questions from me, just well wishes. You deserve peace.

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

Thank you, brother, for your humanity

How accessible is the internet in Gaza?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 33 points 1 week ago (3 children)

At the beginning of the war, it was very difficult to provide the Internet and it was only available in specific places, but now Internet companies have been able to provide the Internet in most places.

[–] Voidance@hexbear.net 26 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

That’s good. The fact that people can see what’s happening there due to videos and images from Palestinians is having a huge effect in overcoming the pro-Israel media narratives in the West. Incidentally I saw Israel claim the other day that they bombed a hospital because Hamas was ‘using it for internet access’ which is so absurd even by their standards.

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 27 points 1 week ago

They lie in order to cover up the massacres and crimes they commit. They always say that in order to exclude schools, hospitals, mosques and churches. They do not want us to actually live ,it is ethnic cleansing

What do you think of the western image of Hamas as religiously conservative islamists who wants to oppress women, LGBTQ people etc.?

Is there any internal opposition to the resistance inside Gaza? Is there people who wants to align themselves with the west and believe that some sort of deal can be worked out with the zionists?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Throughout its life, Hamas has not oppressed women, and there are no gay people in Gaza , and everything that is said by the Zionist Western media is a lie. None of the Palestinians are against the resistance

[–] anaesidemus@hexbear.net 24 points 1 week ago (1 children)

no gay people in Gaza

I know of at least one, Bashar Murad, who performed with satirical anti-capitalist band Hatari when the Zionist entity hosted Eurovision. He has not spoken of any oppression by his fellow Palestinians and the Zionists of course make no distinction between individual Palestinians. I remember seeing Zionist misinformation that he would have been safer in Tel Aviv than Gaza, which seems a cruel joke after the Al-Aqsa flood and the Zionist aggression after.

The band Hatari were under a lot of pressure to boycott the contest, but they decided tried to use the opportunity to bring focus on the Palestinian people.

By making a music video
showing the Palestinian flag during the points ceremony
making a documentary about the whole thing

The Icelandic People stand with you. The Iceland-Palestine association has been doing great work since 1987 in combating Zionist lies and was instrumental in Iceland recognizing Palestinian independence in 2011

Stay safe Palestinian from Gaza. I pray there is a day you and your love ones don't have to worry about this insanity and can just live your lives fully.

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago

I hope we get that

[–] adultswim_antifa@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I'm very sorry for what my stupid evil country does. palestine-heart Internationally, Israel has lost so much support that I think it's just a matter of time now. The fascists are going to lose.

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 19 points 1 week ago

Yes, I swear to you, they will lose in the end, but it takes a little time

[–] bazingabrain@hexbear.net 17 points 1 week ago (1 children)

not much to ask just here to say the +20k people here are with you, and if, instead of protesting in the streets we could fight with you, we wouldnt hesitate.

The problem is if you want to fight and go to Gaza, the Egyptian government will prevent you. My friend, the people closest to us have sold us out.

I read in this article that the founder of Hamas, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, said that "Israel" will no longer exist by 2027 (I think the original clip of the interview is here). What do you think of his prediction?

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 14 points 1 week ago

I also believe I believe that Israel is in its last days

Good to hear from you Mahmoud! I hope this all ends soon ♥️🍉♥️
Do you have any books, poets or musicians you can recommend?

Also what is your favourite animal, if you have one?

And lastly, do you think protesting in other countries helps Palestine or palestinians? At times I feel it is only more... extreme actions that matter at all.

[–] mahmoud@hexbear.net 16 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Yes, my favorite poet is the Palestinian Mahmoud Darwish. I love cats and I had a cat, but when I was displaced, I could not take it with me. Yes, I think demonstrations are very good for putting pressure on governments, especially Zionist governments.
