I remember a time long ago when Life is Strange was one of chuds most frequent source of seething.

All because Chloe’s dad was a meathead conservative even though he ends up being a hero lol. I don’t even understand the contempt for it because rebellious daughter and distant conservative father has been a media trope since the dawn of popular culture. Why hate now? Because two girls kiss each other instead of kissing some biker outcast bad boy?

Not to mention the story literally revolves around an innocent Christian girl being abused by an elitist, pretentious hipster teacher and his minions. Like god damn, it checks all the boxes for what conservatives find compelling. It’s literally just hipster lesbian True Detective, yet they hated it for being woke. I don’t understand at all.

Do Max and Chloe appear in LiS games still? I thought the other two were unrelated...

I didn’t jive with the second because it didn’t have tumblr lesbian vibes and I never bothered with the third.

I agree with this post and with this article https://www.gamegrin.com/articles/where-is-chloe-my-hopes-for-life-is-strange-double-exposure/

It is much more compelling to keep my punk (bi?) gf in the story and have Max deal with the consequences of sacrificing a town (that if you know anything about the PNW would probably be worth sacrificing anyway in service to humanity as a whole) for her best friend/girlfriend than it would be to just handwave all that away by having the canon ending erase everything after Chloe getting shot. Also, there is the fact that if you DO decide to go back to the start at the end you basically are leaving alive the pedo serial killer teacher (though I could be wrong on this as I felt I didn't need to play through a second time as I was satisfied with all the choices I made and wanted to leave it as the story I helped guide).

Like I just don't see how the pedo serial killer could be convicted in the real world simply on the word of a ~~highschooler~~ college freshman? whose only evidence after that would be "trust me bro" unless there is something extremely compelling in the other ending that would feel like a copout anyway to justify sacrificing your first love for the sake of a town of mostly fascists.

Again I cannot stress enough how fucking reactionary the PNW is outside of Seattle and Portland which that town definitely is nothing like and even then they are at best radlibs.

Don't believe me? Look up Bend or any other town outside those two metropols.

On my way through Bend last year I saw more confederate flags than I had ever seen in my entire life. The best one was a flagpole that had a Trump flag, an American flag, a no step on snek flag, and a thin blue line flag IN THAT ORDER.

If I had to burn that city to the ground to save my gf I would do so in less than a heartbeat. It would be one of the easiest decisions in my entire life.
