Why do people buy instant oats at 10-25x the price of a bag of oats?

Oats are already instant, you can just pour normal oats and milk into a bowl and microwave it! Buy them rolled and let them sit in the microwave a little more if you want them goopier. I actually like my oats extra solid so I microwave jumbo oats for like 30s and consume.

This is the attack of "microwave popcorn" all over again.

You can make oats with water, it sort of turns into oat milk!

Yeah it says to use milk or water, but it doesn't taste anywhere near as good with water.
