Cuisine of the month:
Why do people buy instant oats at 10-25x the price of a bag of oats?
Oats are already instant, you can just pour normal oats and milk into a bowl and microwave it! Buy them rolled and let them sit in the microwave a little more if you want them goopier. I actually like my oats extra solid so I microwave jumbo oats for like 30s and consume.
This is the attack of "microwave popcorn" all over again.
Right, just add a bunch of sugar for that "instant" taste.
Klepped from a hotel breakfast, I wouldn't normally.
It's slop and I love it
You can make oats with water, it sort of turns into oat milk!
Yeah it says to use milk or water, but it doesn't taste anywhere near as good with water.
It also doesn't involve anywhere near as much needless cruelty
No cruel in my gruel.
Inducing lactation so I can have cruelty free oatmeal
yum :niko-happy:
you could add peanut butter, or even jam and raspberries
Oats + Water + Lao Gan Ma + Garlic powder, pepper, salt is strangely good for a 5 minute snack
mmmmm oat congee my favorite
