You jest, but Trump is actually a highly skilled populist with incredible stamina in debates and knows very well how to get what he wants. Look at it from his perspective, he's living his life to the fullest. He has everything he wants, including the presidency. And now that he's destroyed Biden, he will swing back into the Oval office for 4 more years of pillaging and golfing. You can't do 'better' than that in life, from a purely egocentric perspective, though.
