The real one needs to be at least 3 times bigger!

A Shahed-136. Iranian made, its a kind of kamakazi drone

[–] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 10 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago) (3 children)

Correct.

I think Ukraine actually shoots these down.

[–] Unforeseen@sh.itjust.works 8 points 5 months ago

Yep its the opposite of the meme but didn't want to point it out and ruin it lol

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 6 points 5 months ago (3 children)

They do, but these drones are far cheaper to build than the missiles usually used to shoot them down. They are also being produced in massive quantities.

[–] sentient_loom@sh.itjust.works 6 points 5 months ago

It works when your opponent insists on building nothing but siege tanks and battlecruisers.

Yeah, NAFO could invest in their own zerg units, but that would mean less profit for Yamato Corporation.

Not for long, this is a test war, once AI takes over air defense these things will be shot down for pennies on the dollar.

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 4 points 5 months ago

I'm not sure that Ukraine sees this as a test war, but I get your point.

[–] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 1 points 5 months ago

[–] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 10 points 5 months ago
