No, they are going to lean into what is most popular.
Imagine if the show suddenly had the Fallout 1 pipboy and started going on about psykers, most people watching would be extremely confused.
And they had a fair amount of fallout one content too, the brotherhood were using the Fallout 1 10mm pistol, they even had a pretty dang accurate water chip prop.
I don't mind using the Bethesda pipboy design. I don't think FO1 or FO2 even had actual pipboy models, just the pipboy 2000 screen. It would've had to been redesigned anyway.
? I don't think even you know what you're talking about. I had to look up the wiki and I doubt you actually meant the 4 guys in the cathedral that barely even played a role in FO1.
There are a few more psykers in fallout, they are a bunch of people with magical powers that never were brought up again besides Mama Murphy.
The FO1 pipboy looks pretty much like a tablet, they didn't become wrist-mounted until Fallout 3.
My point is that what people know as Fallout at this point is what the modern games show, it makes sense they'd lean on that.
Lorewise the show has more to do with Fallout 1 and 2 than the Bethesda games.
