And no, being anti police doesn't really have any relevance to war atrocities

I mean, look, by that logic the policeman image is just completely irelevant, pro or against, to the Russian agression on Ukraine. In other words, what's left to us is to only presume that they support the invasion on bases of their nationality, something I think is inherently wrong, just as assuming anyone's attitudes based on race or creed.

The studio might indeed be against the war, but it's hard for me to get over in order to give them a chance.

They cant unborn themselves on russian soil dude, and they clearly arent supportive of authoritarian abuse of power.

You arent the government who controls your country

"Our goal isn't to create an evil image of the police, but to investigate the issue of responsibility and power,” designer Vladimir Semenets told Polygon back then. "What does it mean to be the biggest policeman in the world and what responsibilities does it impose on you? He tries to be a positive character in this story. But even we don't know yet if he will succeed in being one."

This is not a response to what I said, nor is it in any way a rebuttal of my point.

Do you not understand the quote? Are you asking for me to explain it to you?

[–] echo64@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

If you can find the part where they are "they clearly arent supportive of authoritarian of power. " you can point it out if you like. Be warned I might just throw that quote at you again

[–] wildginger@lemmy.myserv.one 1 points 9 months ago* (last edited 9 months ago) (1 children)

I think youre throwing the quote over and over cause you realized you misread it, but you cant admit you fucked up this deep in.

So you just keep resending the quote hoping Ill also misread it, and take that as a rebuttal.

Sadly for you I didnt get stumped by middle school lit class.

E: like, do you understand that the quote directly contradicts your issues with the game? That if you hadnt misused it so many times in this thread, I would be showing you that quote because it backs up my point?

It's clear that we're not going to agree. But I'm gonna just step out of this conversation because I'm done talking to someone who acts like... this. This is like reddit.

Bye bye.

[–] wildginger@lemmy.myserv.one 1 points 9 months ago

Agreeing would imply you had an argument beyond copy pasting my own evidence.

And, again, talking would imply you said anything beyond c+v.

Read slower next time, I guess? It will save you the embarassment

[–] JackOfAllTraits@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

Yes, as I said. The premise or you "giving them a chance" is the part I have a problem with.

[–] echo64@lemmy.world 1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

you have a problem with me choosing or not choosing to play a game because I have conflicting feelings about their association with a warring state? with my personal choice?

[–] echo64@lemmy.world -1 points 9 months ago (1 children)

I think that says more about you, than me.

[–] wildginger@lemmy.myserv.one 1 points 9 months ago

Im pretty sure your actions speak on you, not on the people reacting to them
