It lasted nearly 2 weeks longer than I had anticipated. First it slowed and now it's finally dead. "Error 429 - Too many requests" is the message I'm greeted with.

Based on this thread on that other site, yes, it's still working if you're a mod of a sub.

fascinating. maybe that's why r/pics caved and reopened the sub, they don't want their boost privileges removed.

No, it's still working now and then and it stops cuz of too many request. I guess mayayo use some automod api for boost; but to say the truth, I've no clue.
