I'm disgusted but also intrigued by breakfast pizza...

Breakfast pizza is pretty great, cheesy base sauce, scrambled eggs, bacon and breakfast sausage bits. Good stuff.

The base sauce scares me a bit

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Me too, but I'd be 100% down to replace the base with hot sauce (maybe I can use Tabasco to make a buffalo sauce, that sounds heavenly). I'm like 80% down to try a maple base (or drizzle) as well.

You could try replacing the base with a thick sausage gravy

[–] ArcaneSlime@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 year ago

OOOO yeee I like the way you think.

Casey's breakfast pizza uses sausage gravy as the base.

Good morning! It's a horrible day as usual here in Terre Haute, Indiana. But Casey's still serves a fine breakfast pizza.

[–] Seabazz@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

Casey's does not unless you custom order it. It's a cheese sauce. Quik trip does the sausage gravy though

I've never had one with a sauce. Breakfast pizza is super popular here. It's just scrambled eggs mixed with cheddar cheese with your choice of toppings. It's one of the few things I could eat for breakfast every day and not get sick of it.

It's the worst parts of both breakfast and pizza

[–] theragu40@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Whoa whoa whoa. That's a strong statement to make as a generalization.

Yeah, it's the 3 left over slices of pepperoni from night

warmed up pizza leftovers has been a breakfast staple for ages

Cold pizza is superior for breakfast if the quality is there already.

I'm weird, I know
