Yeah, I would much rather have a global superpower/GDP concentration with low income inequality than an oligarchical superpower. Long-term growth of the people has got to come from the people, and you need 'people' for that, not mindless slaves (ie someone with options in their lives to pursue various interests, so especially not worrying for basic needs and having meaningful leisure time/not having to labor all day).
